Canadian pigs like virtually all other slaughterhouse animals are tortured and die in agony.

Mercy For Animals had videod the torture of Canadian pigs at Western Hog Exchange in Edmonton and elsewhere.

Canadian pigs are routinely

beaten, electroshocked, frozen to truck walls, suffocated, injured

before dying of thirst and heat.

Canadian pigs

in winter transport are freezing to truck walls.

In summer they have heart attacks from the asphyxiating heat.

They are routinely beaten. They are crippled from overcrowding.

They die as well of thirst, suffocation and dehydration.

Bolt cutters are used to cut through the pigs' tusks.

Canadian inspectors routinely do nothing.

The US lags behind the EU in livestock protection laws but Canada

lags behind both.

Western Hog Exchange in Edmonton is one of the worst.

Canada's livestock laws are even worse than those of the US and European Union.
