[British Prime Minister] David Cameron has urged every Holocaust survivor in Britain to take \r\npart in a special event on Monday [May 5] aimed at mapping out the future of \r\nShoah [i.e. Holocaust] education.  [...]<\/span><\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/span>

The landmark event, to be hosted by the Prime Minister in association\r\n with the JC [Jewish Chronicle] in north-west London, is expected to be one of the \r\nlargest-ever gatherings of Holocaust survivors in this country. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

Monday’s Holocaust forum is about three things. <\/span><\/div>\r\n\r\n<\/span>

First, it’s about saying thank you to some inspirational people who have come to this country and given us so much. [...]<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/span>

Second, the event is about making a very simple promise — but one \r\nthat is so important. It’s about saying to Britain’s Holocaust \r\nsurvivors: “We will not let you down — we will make sure that Britain \r\nalways remembers.” <\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<\/span>

That’s why I have set up the Holocaust Commission — with cross-party \r\nbacking — to find the right ways to pass on the legacy of the survivors \r\nfrom generation to generation.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<\/span>

Third, and most importantly, the event is about hearing first hand \r\nfrom survivors how the Commission can best fulfil that promise. We need \r\nto think about how best to remember, commemorate and educate future \r\ngenerations of every faith and none.  [...]<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/span>

So I really want us to hear from every survivor in the country during\r\n the event and during the rest of the consultation that runs to the end \r\nof May. <\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<\/span>
