Once\r\nthe U.S., German and Dutch Patriot missile batteries in\r\nsouth Turkey became operational under NATO command, first the defense\r\nministers of Germany, Netherlands and Turkey, then Germany's Prime\r\nMinister Merkel visited those\r\nsites located some 100-120 km\r\nfrom the Turkish-Syrian border.
