Local students have coordinated Occupy CSUN in the main quad South of the Oviatt Library at Cal State Northridge. Everyone is welcome to join. OCCUPY CSUN needs art supplies/food etc. PEOPLE!

In solidarity with occupy colleges and occupations everywhere, CSUN has moved from weekly General Assemblies to actual occupation. This move comes the same week that mass action is planned fro colleges nationwide.
Five students and alumni slept in tents Monday night on the Oviatt lawn and more are expected to stay tonight.
The first General Assembly since physical occupation began was held today. Around 20 people attended discussions on organization, outreach and platform.
Staff and students alike expressed interest in the usually apolitical community.
