After a moving rally at Dela Guerra Plaza, a contingent of [protesters marched to Arlington West, a commemoration of those fallen in war to remember the notorious Bush invasion of March 19, 2003

About 150 people rallied to listen to peace songs and speeches including David Kreiger of the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation, and former state Assemblyperson Hannah Beth Jackson who has a progressive radio show on KTMS each Saturday morning.

To the consternation of Progressive Democrat founding director Lois Hamilton, Jackson has backed Debra Bowen to replace Jane Harmon who is the second richest person in the US Congress. Most progressive Democrats prefer to support Marcy Winograd, who opposed the Patriot Act renewal and ran a vigorous campaign against Harmon last election cycle, winning 38% of the vote.

Other progressive voice at the rally included Veterans for Peace, Code Pink,AFSCME, students and anarchists.
