Stewart Alexander has demonstrated a strong commitment to the work of the Peace and Freedom Party and the socialist movement.

There are many reasons why Stewart Alexander should receive the PFP Presidential Nomination in 2012 and elected President of the United States. First, he will be a president that will fight for working class people. Stewart Alexander has a strong commitment to the ideals of the Peace and Freedom Party and has demonstrated that commitment for more than a decade. As stated in our Platform, Alexander is committed to socialism, democracy, ecology, feminism and racial equality. Alexander supports our efforts to organize toward a world where cooperation replaces competition, a world where all people are well fed, clothed and housed, where all women and men have equal status; where all individuals may freely endeavor to fulfill their own talents and desires; a world of freedom and peace where every community retains its cultural integrity and lives with all others in harmony.

Stewart Alexander is one of us and was raised in a working family. During the 80s, Alexander was a political activist working for the Florida Consumer Action Network as a state environmental lobbyist. In 1989, Alexander was a candidate for Mayor of Los Angeles campaigning on redevelopment issues. In 2006, Alexander was a candidate for California Lieutenant Governor and in 2008 he was the Vice Presidential Nominee for the Socialist Party USA.
