One is organizing a phone tree or text message alert system for your community. Raisethefist.com has a fantastic system for sending out emergency alerts.\r\n<br><br>\r\nAnother is to do counter checkpoint actions: Get a big sign that says \"Checkpoint Ahead Ret&eacute;n Adelante\" and go stand with some friends a block or so ahead of the checkpoint and warn the drivers. This is legally-protected free speech but cops have been known to brutalize and arrest people using this tactic, so bring comrades and documentation equipment (cameras, etc.)\r\n<br><br>\r\nThese are the checkpoints that have been announced:\r\n<br><br>\r\n<b>Friday:<\/b>\r\n<br><br>\r\nMonterey Park- 2345 S. Atlantic Monterery Park CA 91754 (at 1st Street) OR 215 W. Pomona Monterey Park CA 91754 (just west of Pomona and Garfield)\r\n<br><br>\r\nPomona (not sure where yet)\r\n<br><br>\r\nSan Bernardino (not sure where yet)\r\n<br><br>\r\n<b>Saturday:<\/b>\r\n<br><br>\r\nNorco (not sure where yet)\r\n<br><br>\r\n<br><br>\r\nLa polic&iacute;a sigue con su militarizaci&oacute;n de nuestras comunidades, bloqueando las calles y rob&aacute;ndoles los carros a la gente inmigrante que no puede sacar una licencia. En un cartel&oacute;n, pintas \"Checkpoint Ahead Ret&eacute;n Adelante\" y te paras a una distancia de una cuadra del ret&eacute;n para avisarles a los conductores. Esta actividad es protegida por la libertad de expresi&oacute;n pero aun as&iacute; a veces la polic&iacute;a no respeta este derecho, y han sabido golpear y arrestar a personas por hacerlo.
