Some of us in the peace movement couldn't take the day off.

December 25, 2007: The Northeast LA Radical Neighbors (NelaRad) and the Montrose vigil collaborated on a holiday vigil. Whether one recognizes Christmas, Chriskwanzica, DeadTreesmas, or whatever, we wanted to remind people that not everyone in the world can celebrate at this time of year. (For NelaRad, this was our fourth annual December 25 vigil.)

Our vigil peaked at seven participants. Traffic, of course, was sparse, but we received a fair amount of honks, and passersby took the time to read our signs.

The vigil lasted slightly over an hour (10am to a little past 11).
