\r\nI. The Face of Frankenstein's Monster
\r\n
\r\nGenetic Engineering Biotechnology (GE, GM, GMOs) evades Evolution's\r\nsafeguards by injecting genes of one species into a totally unrelated\r\nspecies, something impossible in Nature.
\r\n
\r\nGM evades Evolution's safeguards, and may therefore give rise to\r\nPATHOGENS that can -- and HAVE, many times -- caused\r\ncrippling and deadly DISEASE EPIDEMICS -- documented but unpublicised.
\r\n
\r\nGenetic Engineering is also ideal for developing horrific biological\r\nand other military weapons --- sufficient cause to OUTLAW GM.
\r\n
\r\nThe Greatest Racket in History (Listen to this !): ---

\r\nGM contamination is virulent, spread by wind, bird, insect, animals and\r\ntravelling human beings. Co-Existence with GM is\r\ncompletely impossible, only fools or liars would say differently.

\r\nGM has contaminated crops in areas of North America which\r\ndwarf the UK and even Western Europe. Planetary\r\ncontamination is inevitable, if We don't stop it.

\r\nThe Biotechnology corporations know oh-so-well how contamination\r\nspreads and spreads and spreads.

\r\nNow get this: Through their political influence,\r\nthese Corporations have been able to acquire the obscene, sacrilegious,\r\nand indeed revolutionary PATENTS on LIFE-FORMS.

\r\nBefore these revolutionary Patents on Life, a farmer could\r\nhave sued -- successfully without any doubt -- the Biotechnology\r\ncorporation for having contaminated, poisoned his crops.

\r\nHowever, given these Patents on Life (here, on the seeds), the\r\nCorporation can -- and DOES, successfully -- sue the victimised farmer\r\nfor (Hold your nose) \"infringement of patent\".
\r\n

\r\nThus the formula the reader might keep in mind:
\r\nGM Contamination + Patents on Life-Forms equals Corporate\r\nOwnership Rights in the crops of victimised farmers.

\r\nThis formula spells the serfdom and ruin of all small family farmers on\r\nthis planet. (They are the majority of the population in\r\nAsia, Africa, and Latin America).

\r\nThe Chemical-Drug-Biotechnology syndicate and its Enforcers (corrupted\r\ngovernments in the West and Third World, corporation-dominated\r\norganisations like the WTO, World Bank, IMF) have started a WORLDWIDE\r\nAGRICULTURAL REVOLUTION.

\r\nThey want to destroy small family farming, and have only gigantic\r\nCorporate GM Plantations with farmers working as serfs.

\r\nAlready, according to the Research Foundation for Science, Technology\r\nand Ecology (RFSTE) in New Delhi, 40,000 farmers in India\r\nhave committed suicide primarily as a result of the Corporate\r\nEnforcers' so-called \"free trade\" policies --- dumping\r\nheavily-subsidised Western farm produce onto glutted Indian markets,\r\npushing GM crops, insisting that Patents on Life-Forms be accepted so\r\nfarmers must sign contracts with GM Corporations and can no longer save\r\nseeds, etc.

\r\n Excerpts from a New York Times editorial of\r\nOctober 5, 2002, entitled \"The Dying Oaks of\r\nCalifornia\": \"The forests and woodlands\r\nof America conceal a landscape of loss. . . .the most volatile and in\r\nsome ways the most frightening scourge of trees at the moment is Sudden\r\nOak Death, which has killed tens of thousands of oaks in coastal\r\nCalifornia in just a few years. . . . Sudden Oak Death first appeared\r\nin California in the mid-1990's. . . . The potential economic damage is\r\nenormous. . . . Even now, California is facing significant agricultural\r\nquarantine.. . . . No one yet knows where\r\nPhytophthora ramorum came from or how this cycle of tree sickness\r\nbegan.. . . . \r\nThe words I have emphasized above could also be said about\r\nGM-Tryptophan-caused Eosinophilia-Myalgia Syndrome (EMS).

\r\nThe obvious question we ought to be asking: Is\r\nPhytophthora ramorum and Sudden Oak Death related to a GMO, perhaps\r\ncausing a mutation? (There has been much experimentation with\r\ngenetically-engineered trees in the United States, California in\r\nparticular. That may well be your answer.)

\r\nThe nightmare technology of Genetic Engineering Biotechnology, and its\r\nincestuous Patents on Life-Forms, must be OUTLAWED.

\r\nHow To Do It?
\r\n
\r\nThere is only one way to overcome this extremely powerful, \r\nruthless Corporation-Government-corporate Mass Media axis.
\r\n
\r\nIt is to conduct grassroots Public Education Campaigns to educate and\r\npolitically activate the General Public, university \/ college students\r\nin particular.
\r\n
\r\nThe General Public !! Stop forever talking to the\r\nConverted. To get around the corporate media's suppression\r\nand distortion of truth, one must talk to people and go\r\ndoor-to-door with leaflets and vocal messages.
\r\nAnd major efforts must be made to inform and activate university\r\nstudents.
\r\n
\r\nImportant Hints:
\r\n
\r\n(1) Concentrate on university students.
\r\n
\r\n And senior citizens.
\r\n
\r\nI speak to you now, elder citizens like\r\nmyself. Put moral purpose into your lives\r\nand help rescue this planet and your grandchildren.
\r\n
\r\n(2) AVOID NGOs and all established organisations,\r\nespecially large ones. They are not what they seem.
\r\n
\r\nTheir hierarchies and decision-making are corporation-influenced if not\r\noutright purchased.
\r\n
\r\nNever ever join them. Never ever give them Money.

\r\nThe environmental field especially is riddled with wealthy,\r\nprestigious, deceptive organisations adept at dilutng and derailing\r\nenvironmental causes, GM in particular.

\r\n[I am thinking at this moment of one such organisation I have observed\r\nover a long period of time, in my view a very slick and dangerous FOE\r\nof environmentalism, originally created by polluting Corporations to\r\ndeal with the growing environmental movement.
\r\nDon't go anywhere near this one.]
\r\n
\r\nWhen they talk about being 'practical' and seeking 'Coexistence' with\r\nGM, let a red flag go up.
\r\n
\r\nNothing short of OUTLAWING GENETIC ENGINEERING and PATENTS ON\r\nLIFE-FORMS will save us and our planet.
\r\n
\r\nDo your educational work as individuals or in small groups of people\r\nyou know.
\r\n
\r\nIn a little of your SPARETIME (perhaps 3 or 4 hours a week, but\r\nregularly, as part of an ethical life-style):
\r\n
\r\nEducate and activate the Public by writing and telephoning and just\r\ntalking to your family members, friends and acquantances;
\r\n
\r\nWrite letters and make telephone calls to local, regional and national\r\nmedia;
\r\n
\r\nWrite, call and especially visit your legislative representatives and\r\nother government personnel, and
\r\n
\r\nTake appropriate Direct Action.
