\r\nGenetic\r\nEngineering Biotechnology (GE, GM, GMOs) evades Evolution's safeguards\r\nby injecting genes of one species into a totally unrelated species,\r\nsomething impossible in Nature.

\r\nGM evades Evolution's safeguards, and may therefore give rise to PATHOGENS<\/span> that can\r\n-- and HAVE, many times -- caused crippling and deadly\r\nDISEASE EPIDEMICS <\/span>-- documented but unpublicised.

\r\nBefore\r\nthese revolutionary Patents on Life, a farmer could have sued\r\n--\r\nsuccessfully without any doubt -- the Biotechnology corporation for\r\nhaving contaminated, poisoned his crops.

\r\nHowever, given these Patents on Life (here, on the seeds<\/span>), the\r\nCorporation can -- and DOES, successfully -- sue the\r\nvictimised farmer for (Hold your nose) \"infringement of patent\".<\/span>

\r\nThus the formula the reader might keep in mind:

\r\nAlready, according to the Research Foundation for Science, Technology\r\nand Ecology (RFSTE) in New Delhi, 40,000\r\nfarmers in India have committed suicide<\/span>\r\nprimarily as a result of the Corporate Enforcers' so-called \"free\r\ntrade\" policies --- dumping heavily-subsidised Western farm produce\r\nonto glutted Indian markets, pushing GM crops, insisting that Patents\r\non Life-Forms be accepted so farmers must sign contracts with GM\r\nCorporations and can no longer save seeds, etc.

\r\nThe Greatest\r\nRacket in History --- GM Contamination + Patents on Life-Forms equals\r\nCorporate Proprietary Rights in the crops of victimised farmers, and\r\nspells the serdom and ruin of small family farmers everywhere on this\r\nplanet.

\r\nII. \r\nGMO Disease Epidemics: \r\nASPARTAME<\/span><\/span> <\/span>artificial\r\nsweetener<\/span>
\r\n
\r\nThis artificial sweetener bears no resemblance to 'saccharin' and\r\n'sucaryl'. A well-known\r\ncarcinogenic<\/span> neurotoxin<\/span>,\r\nAspartame has been linked to cancer, paralysis, blindness, diabetes,\r\ncardiac arrest, not to mention death. <\/span>
\r\n
\r\nIn the United States, where the New Mexico legislature is currently\r\ndiscussing a proposal to ban Aspartame, the\r\nneurotoxin is found in 6,000 products consumed by 70% of Americans.<\/span>
\r\n<\/span>
\r\nA bill to ban aspartame is currently in the British Parliament also,\r\nsponsored by Roger Williams MP.
\r\n
\r\nIn this sordid age of the crudest Money Politics, to have a legislature\r\ngo so far as to consider banning a tremendous moneymaker, well, that\r\nproduct must be a science fiction-like horror. And Aspartame\r\nevidently\r\nIS.
\r\n
\r\nThe first paragraph may have given a somewhat jolting introduction to\r\nthe subject.
\r\nLet's elaborate a bit.
\r\n
\r\nU.S.\r\nGovernment FDA (Food and Drug Administration) scientists stood\r\nsteadfast over the years against approving Aspartame for the\r\nmarket. \r\nIt was only the roughest political pull and Money Politics that got\r\nthis Monsanto product through.

\r\nThe following is the virtual list released by the U.S. Department of\r\nHealth and Human Services back in 1994 of over 92 disease symptoms\r\nassociated with Aspartame consumption <\/span>(and it's still on\r\nthe market in 2006 !!).
\r\n
\r\nNote: \r\nthe reader might be on the lookout for things like \"seizures\" and\r\n\"death\" -- they can get lost in such a list as we now put\r\nforward.
\r\nHere we go, in alphabetical order:

\r\nabdominal\r\npain, anxiety attacks, arthritis, \r\nasthma, bloating (edema, fluid\r\nretention), blood sugar control problems (hypoglycemia or\r\nhyperglycemia), brain cancer (pre-approval study in\r\nanimals), \r\nbreathing diifficulties, burning eyes or throat, \r\nburning urination\r\n(that might well piss anybody off), chest pains, \r\nchronic cough, \r\nChronic Fatigue, confusion and inability to think\r\nstraight, death, \r\ndepression, diarrhea, dizziness, excessive thirst\r\nor hunger, \r\nfatigue, feelings of unreality, flushing of\r\nface, hair loss\r\n(thinning of hair or baldness), \r\nheadaches, hearing loss\r\n..............
\r\n
\r\n(Let's take a breather. Imagine what a list like this could\r\ndo for a hypochondriac ! OK, we continue.)

\r\nheart\r\npalpitations, high blood pressure, hives, \r\nimpotency and sexual\r\nproblems, inability to concentrate, \r\ninfection susceptibility, \r\ninsomnia, itching, joint pains, \r\nlaryngitis, memory loss, menstrual\r\nproblems or changes, muscle spasms, nausea or\r\nvomiting, numbness or\r\ntingling of extremities, panic attacks, rapid\r\nheartbeat, rashes, \r\nseizures and convulsions, slurring of\r\nspeech, swallowing pain, \r\ntremors, tinnitis (ringing in the ears), vision\r\nloss, and weight gain.
\r\n
\r\nYes,\r\nAspartame is still<\/span>\r\non the market !! <\/span>
\r\n
\r\nThat\r\nlist was published in February, 1994. Since then, much more\r\nevidence\r\nhas arrived damning Aspartame. Most recently, a study\r\naccepted for\r\npublication by the peer-reviewed journal Environmental Health\r\nPerspectives (EHP) of the U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services\r\n(published November 2005), states that Aspartame is a\r\n\"multipotential\r\ncarcinogenic [i.e. can cause Cancer] compound\".
\r\n
\r\nSO, this\r\n\"multipotential carcinogenic compound\" is found in more than 6,000\r\nproducts, and CANCER is a world-class killer. Can anyone see\r\na\r\nconnection?
\r\n
\r\nNote that this disease-fomenting artificial\r\nsweetener infests carbonated and powdered soft drinks, hot chocolate,\r\nchewing gum, CANDY, DESSERTS, yogurt and tabletop sweeteners as well as\r\nsome pharmaceutical products like vitamins and sugar-free cough\r\ndrops. \r\n
\r\n
\r\nMore than 200 million\r\npeople worldwide consume it.<\/span> Any wonder that\r\nDisease, Hospitalisation and Cancer are growth industies when stuff\r\nlike this pervades our supermarkets?
\r\n
\r\n
\r\nQuestion: Why can Aspartame do what\r\nno other artificial sweetener could conceivably dream of doing in a\r\nmillion years?<\/span> <\/span>
\r\n
\r\nAnswer<\/span>: \r\nBecause it is GENETICALLY\r\nENGINEERED<\/span>.
\r\n
\r\nComment: \r\nAlthough genetically engineered, Aspartame still seems to\r\naccomplish\r\nhorrors above-and-beyond the call of normal duty for\r\nGMOs. Why?
\r\n
\r\nOf course, people consume a lot of it over time, and are subject to the\r\ncumulative effect<\/span>\r\n(as with synthetic chemicals and radiation).
\r\nThe so-called \"daily allowable intake\" was always a pseudo-scientific\r\nlie, corporate propaganda blathered by a bought political system and\r\npay-for-hire 'scientists'.
\r\n
\r\nAdditionally, I would say that one basic reason is Aspartame's\r\nappearing primarily in processed\r\nfoods.<\/span> PROCESSED<\/span>\r\nfoods.
\r\n
\r\nYou see, the genetic engineering process is always liable to fabricate disease-inducing PATHOGENS<\/span>. \r\nAnd, independent of the Aspartame, all (non-organic) processed\r\nfoods (I can no longer find an exception)<\/span> contain at least one GMO, and\r\noften more than one<\/span><\/span>.<\/span>
\r\n
\r\nThen genetically-engineered Aspartame enters what is already\r\na potentially bad compound, and you can get <\/span>the dreaded \"cocktail\"\r\neffect of poison interacting with other poisons. <\/span>\r\n

\r\nBe that as it may, one conclusion ought to be obvious enough\r\nconcerning Aspartame and all genetically-engineered things--- We ban Them, or They ban Us !<\/span>

\r\nNote: \r\nBy the way, people report that after they spotted the problem, and\r\neliminated this GM artificial sweetener from their diet, they\r\nde-toxified and indeed got better. Victims of\r\ngenetically-engineered\r\ninsulin reported the same.

\r\nYet I must add that she has been silent about or\r\ndownplayed the fact that Aspartame is genetically engineered, in my\r\nview badly damaging her own cause, and certainly failing to assist\r\nanti-GMO campaigning.

\r\nSpeculation: She has been the victim\r\nof what appears to be a combined Monsanto-Government cabal against her,\r\nand soft-pedaling the GMO connection may have been the price she paid\r\nto lead a hectic yet still liveable existence.
\r\nOn the other hand, perhaps she simply feels that stressing the GMO\r\nconnection is not good strategy.
\r\nShe refuses to answer me, so I kinda feel the former explanation rings\r\ntrue.]

\r\nIII. Conclusion\r\nand What To Do<\/span>
\r\n
\r\n<\/span>Human beings and Nature, as we have known them, cannot\r\nsurvive in a GMO-Frankenstein world.

\r\nThe nightmare technology of Genetic Engineering Biotechnology, and its\r\nincestuous Patents on Life-Forms, must be OUTLAWED.
\r\n
\r\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
\r\nHow To Do It<\/span>?
\r\n
\r\nThere is only one way to overcome this extremely powerful, \r\nruthless Corporation-Government-corporate Mass Media axis.
\r\n<\/span>
\r\nIt\r\nis to conduct grassroots Public Education Campaigns to educate and\r\npolitically activate the General Public, university \/ college students\r\nin particular.<\/span>
\r\n
\r\nThe General\r\nPublic<\/span>\r\n!! Stop forever talking to the Converted. \r\nTo get around the\r\ncorporate media's suppression and distortion of truth, one\r\nmust talk<\/span>\r\nto people and go\r\ndoor-to-door with leaflets and vocal messages. <\/span>
\r\nAnd major efforts must be made to inform and activate <\/span>university students.<\/span><\/span>
\r\n
\r\nImportant Hints:

\r\n(1) Concentrate on university students<\/span>. \r\n

\r\n And senior\r\ncitizens.<\/span>
\r\n
\r\nI\r\nspeak to you now, elder citizens like\r\nmyself. Put moral purpose into\r\nyour lives and help rescue this planet and your grandchildren.

\r\n(2) AVOID\r\nNGOs and all established organisations, especially large ones.<\/span> \r\nThey are not what they seem.
\r\n
\r\nTheir hierarchies and decision-making are corporation-influenced if not\r\noutright purchased.
\r\n
\r\nNever ever join\r\nthem. Never ever give them Money. <\/span> \r\n

\r\nThe environmental field especially is riddled with<\/span><\/span> wealthy, prestigious, deceptive<\/span>\r\norganisations adept at dilutng and derailing environmental\r\ncauses, GM in particular.

\r\n[I am thinking at this moment of one such organisation I have observed\r\nover a long period of time, in my view a very slick and dangerous FOE<\/span>\r\nof environmentalism, originally created by polluting Corporations to\r\ndeal with the growing environmental movement.
\r\nDon't go anywhere\r\nnear this one.]<\/span>

\r\nWhen they talk about being 'practical' and seeking 'Coexistence'<\/span>\r\nwith GM, let a red\r\nflag<\/span> go up.

\r\nNothing short of OUTLAWING GENETIC ENGINEERING and PATENTS ON\r\nLIFE-FORMS will save us and our planet.

\r\nDo your educational work\r\nas individuals or in small groups of people you know.<\/span>

\r\nIn a little of your\r\nSPARETIME (perhaps 3 or 4 hours a week, but regularly, as part of an\r\nethical life-style):<\/span>

\r\nEducate and activate\r\nthe Public by writing and telephoning and just talking to your family\r\nmembers, friends and acquantances;

\r\nWrite letters and make telephone calls to local, regional and national\r\nmedia<\/span>;

\r\nWrite, call and especially visit your legislative representatives and\r\nother government personnel, and
\r\n
