Do you notice on an otherwise clear beautiful California day, that there are airplanes flying at a very high altitude emitting a trail of substance that doesn't dissipate?

They are officially known as 'Persistent Contrails', but for independent investigators they are called Chemtrails. This mysterious phenomenon is worldwide and there is a great amount of speculation as to their purpose and more importantly their effects.

Available research traces the origin of Chemtrails back to Dr. Edward Teller's 1990 white paper contention that a highly reflective substance released into the upper atmosphere\/stratosphere could mitigate global warming by reflecting 1-2% of sunlight back into space.

Independent sample tests of the substance yeilded the following sub-micron particles :

* Aluminum

* Thorium

* Selenium

* Barium

* Silicon Carbide

Now the effects of sub-micron particles being sprayed over a 10 year period could affect the respiratory system. Could this be the reason for our increased susceptibility to influenza? These are the kinds of questions and speculated answers that are all over the internet from concerned Americans.

As the linked article reports, the magnitude\r\nof the Indian Ocean quake now stands at 9.15, making it one of the most\r\ndeadly and frightening in history. From the third paragraph, come some\r\nhair-raising facts . . .\r\n\r\nIn May, scientists reported that the earthquake itself lasted nearly ten\r\nminutes when most major earthquakes last no more than a few seconds; it\r\ncaused the entire planet to vibrate at least a few centimetres. It also\r\ntriggered earthquakes elsewhere, as far away as Alaska.\r\n\r\nThe section on "Tectonic Plates" gives two more earth-shaking pieces of\r\ninformation . . . \r\n\r\n\u00a0. . . Seismographic and acoustic data indicate that the first phase\r\ninvolved the formation of a rupture about . . . 250\u00a0mi . . . long and . . .\r\n60\u00a0mi wide, located . . . 19\u00a0mi . . . beneath the sea bed - the longest\r\nknown rupture ever known to have been caused by an earthquake (italics mine)\r\n. . . \r\n\r\nAs well as the sideways movement between the plates, the sea bed is\r\nestimated to have risen by several metres, displacing an estimated . . .\r\n7\u00a0cu mi . . . of water and triggering devastating tsunami waves. The waves\r\ndid not originate from a point source, as mistakenly depicted in some\r\nillustrations of their spread, but radiated outwards along the entire . . .\r\n750\u00a0mi . . . length of the rupture. This greatly increased the geographical\r\narea over which the waves were observed, reaching as far as Mexico, Chile\r\nand the Arctic. The raising of the sea bed significantly reduced the\r\ncapacity of the Indian Ocean, producing a permanent rise in the global sea\r\nlevel by an estimated 0.1 mm.\r\n\r\nStated more simply, these facts point to an extraordinary amount of energy\r\nexpended to produce extraordinary events, including a permanent rise in sea\r\nlevel. From the "Power of the earthquake" section, there are more unsettling\r\nstatistics . . . \r\n\r\nThe total energy released by the earthquake in the Indian Ocean . . . is\r\nequivalent to 100 gigatons of TNT, or about as much energy as is used in the\r\nUnited States in 6 months. It is estimated to have resulted in an\r\noscillation of the Earth's surface of about 20\u201330\u00a0cm (8 to 12\u00a0in),\r\nequivalent to the effect of the tidal forces caused by the Sun and Moon. The\r\nshock waves of the earthquake were felt across the planet; as far away as\r\nOklahoma, vertical movements of 3\u00a0mm (0.12\u00a0in) were recorded. The entire\r\nEarth's surface is estimated to have moved vertically by up to 1\u00a0cm (italics\r\nmine).\r\n\r\n\u00a0. . . It also caused the Earth to minutely "wobble" on its axis by up to\r\n2.5\u00a0cm (1\u00a0in) . . . or perhaps by up to 5 or 6\u00a0cm (2.0 to 2.4\u00a0in). . . .\r\n\r\nSimply stated, here we have an event that expends so much energy it\r\nliterally shortens the day, causes the earth to wobble and its surface to\r\nraise.\r\n\r\nWhat's more, on March 28, we have another earthquake in the area of Northern\r\nSumatra and Indonesia. According to the National Earthquake Information\r\nCenter, U.S. Geological Survey, it weighs in at 8.7. Add to that, a total of\r\nsix Major Earthquakes around the World in 2005 , all over a magnitude of\r\n7.0, not counting the one in Islamabad in Pakistan, which we'll deal with in\r\na moment. \r\n\r\nAdditionally, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution issues a news release\r\nlast Jan. 13. titled "Major Caribbean Earthquakes and Tsunamis a Real\r\nRisk\u2014Events rare, but scientists call for public awareness, warning system"\r\n. . . Paragraphs two tells us . . .\r\n\r\nIn a new study published December 24, 2004 in the Journal of Geophysical\r\nResearch from the American Geophysical Union, geologists Uri ten Brink of\r\nthe U.S. Geological Survey in Woods Hole and Jian Lin of the Woods Hole\r\nOceanographic Institution (WHOI) report a heightened earthquake risk of the\r\nSeptentrional fault zone, which cuts through the highly populated region of\r\nthe Cibao valley in the Dominican Republic. In addition, they caution, the\r\ngeologically active offshore Puerto Rico and Hispaniola trenches are capable\r\nof producing earthquakes of magnitude 7.5 and higher. The Indonesian\r\nearthquake on December 26, which generated a tsunami that killed (to date),\r\nan estimated 150,000 people, came from a fault of similar structure, but was\r\na magnitude 9.0, much larger than the recorded quakes near the Puerto Rico\r\nTrench.\r\n\r\nSo, around the world, we seem to be having a wave of major earthquakes. In\r\nfact, let's return to Islamabad's catastrophe, as reported in the New York\r\nTimes, Pakistan Quake Rocks South Asia; Over 18,000 Killed.\r\n\r\nWe find that the quake centered in the Hindu Kush Mountains of Pakistan,\r\nemitting tremors all across South Asia, actually killing more than 25,000\r\npeople. The quake weighed in at 7.6. Its epicenter, some 60 miles north of\r\nPakistani's capital, caused some 20 "significant aftershocks" measuring\r\nbetween 5 and 6.2 magnitude. The tremors went as far east as New Delhi, the\r\nIndian capital, west to Kabul, Afghanistan's capital, the "biggest shock and\r\nawe to strike the country in a century," besides of course the US Military,\r\nand in some ways even more potent.\r\n\r\nThat brings me to my central concern of government involvement. That\r\ninvolvement covers also the recent spate of hurricanes, including the most\r\ndisastrous Katrina, which has now drowned an entire American city, which\r\nitself looks like one of those ravaged third world cities which are part of\r\nor are near political hotspots . . .\r\n\r\nHurricane Katrina was the eleventh named tropical storm, fourth hurricane,\r\nthird major hurricane, and first Category 5 hurricane of the 2005 Atlantic\r\nhurricane season. It first made landfall as a Category 1 hurricane just\r\nnorth of Miami, Florida on August 25, 2005, then again on August 29 along\r\nthe Central Gulf Coast near New Orleans, Louisiana, as a Category 4 storm.\r\nKatrina resulted in breaches of the levee system that protected New Orleans\r\nfrom Lake Pontchartrain, and most of the city was subsequently flooded by\r\nthe lake's waters. This and other major damage to the coastal regions of\r\nLouisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama made Katrina the most destructive and\r\ncostliest natural disaster in the history of the United States.\r\n\r\nI suppose one could simply say Katrina was a matter of criminal negligence\r\nor an advanced case of political sleep-walking. Yet I include it in this\r\nlarger picture of world environmental terror because terror is the feeling\r\nit instilled, especially given the human, physical and economic destruction.\r\nI submit as well the Guatemala Storm that swept through Central America on\r\nOctober 9, reported in the LA Times. Alex Renderos and Reed Johnson write .\r\n. . \r\n\r\nGUATEMALA CITY\u2014Rescue workers pulled bodies Saturday from Guatemalan\r\nvillages devastated by mudslides, and other volunteers used hand tools,\r\nmachetes and their bare hands to dig for more victims as the aftermath of\r\nHurricane Stan continued to wreak havoc across northern Central America.\r\n\r\nGuatemalan officials said 508 people had been killed and 337 others were\r\nmissing in the country as a result of flooding and mudslides caused by the\r\nhurricane that roared across the region last week. More than 100 other\r\ndeaths have been reported in Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and\r\nCosta Rica.\r\n\r\nIf all these examples still seem like a matter of happenstance, let me offer\r\nup this quote from Michel Chossudovsky in his Second Edition of America's\r\n"War on Terrorism," published by Global Research, 2005, page 95 . . .\r\n\r\n"Since September 11, 2001, billions of dollars have been channeled towards\r\ndeveloping new advanced weapons systems . . .\r\n\r\n"The Strategic Defense Initiative ('Star Wars') not only includes the\r\ncontroversial "Missile Shield" . . . [but] instruments of weather and\r\nclimatic warfare under the High Altitude Research Program (HAARP). The\r\nlatter has the ability of destabilizing entire national economies through\r\nclimatic manipulations, without the knowledge of the enemy, at minimal cost\r\nand without engaging military personnel and equipment as in a conventional\r\nwar."\r\n\r\nChossudovsky is not alone in this sobering statement of fact.\r\n\r\nUS Weapons of Meteorological Mass Destruction\r\n\r\nDan Eden in an article, titled Weapons of Mass Destruction, talked about the\r\nHAARP facility located in Gakuna, Alaska, where patents bought from inventor\r\nDr. Bernard Eastlund by huge defense contractor Raytheon are being\r\nexperimented with, and used conceivably against world populations.\r\n\r\nThe HAARP Program is a US Air Force, Navy and University of Alaska funded\r\ninvestigation to "understand, simulate and control ionospheric processes\r\nthat might alter the performance of communication and surveillance systems"\r\nas well as weather systems and those which actually can modify human\r\nbehavior. The HAARP program was started in 1993 for a proposed twenty year\r\nseries of experiments. Two paragraphs from Eden's article give you an idea\r\nof the forces being played with . . .\r\n\r\nTo date, there have been eleven other patents derived from Eastlund's\r\noriginal work. These patents describe the reflective alterations of the\r\nionosphere for such uses as "nuclear scale explosions without radiation,"\r\n"power-beaming systems," "over-the-horizon radar systems," and "nuclear\r\nmissile detection and destruction systems." Further, the patents are now\r\nowned by Raytheon, a long-standing defense contractor, and can now be\r\ncombined with other military patents and used for battlefield applications .\r\n. . \r\n\r\n[They have the] " . . . ability to put unprecedented amounts of power in\r\nEarth's atmosphere at strategic locations and to maintain the power\r\ninjection level particularly if random pulsing is employed, in a manner far\r\nmore precise and better controlled than heretofore accomplished by the prior\r\nart, particularly by detonation of nuclear devices of various yields at\r\nvarious altitudes . . ."\r\n\r\nA critical summary on Harp.Net of Dr. Nick Begich and Jeane Manning's book,\r\nAngel\u201cs Don\u201ct Play This HAARP tells us, "Eastlund's patents were originally\r\ncontrolled by ARCO Power Technologies Incorporated (APTI), a subsidiary of\r\nAtlantic Richfield Company, one of the biggest oil companies in the world.\r\nAPTI was the contractor that built the HAARP facility. ARCO sold this\r\nsubsidiary, the patents and the second phase construction contract to\r\nE-Systems in June 1994.\r\n\r\n"E-Systems is one of the biggest intelligence contractors in the world\u2013doing\r\nwork for the CIA, defense intelligence organizations and others. And 1.8\r\nbillion of their annual sales are to these organizations, with $800 million\r\nfor black projects\u2013projects so secret that even the United States Congress\r\nisn't told how the money is being spent.\r\n\r\n"E-Systems was bought out by Raytheon, again one of the largest defense\r\ncontractors in the world. . . . The twelve patents . . . are the backbone of\r\nthe HAARP project and are now buried among thousands of others held in the\r\nname of Raytheon . . ."\r\n\r\nA statement I find most relevant in this HAARP report is . . .\r\n\r\nWeather modification is possible by, for example, altering upper atmosphere\r\nwind patterns by constructing one or more plumes of atmospheric particles\r\nwhich will act as a lens or focusing device.\r\n\r\n\u00a0. . . Molecular modifications of the atmosphere can take place so that . .\r\n. environmental effects can be achieved. Besides actually changing the\r\nmolecular composition of an atmospheric region, a particular molecule or\r\nmolecules can be chosen for increased presence. For example, ozone,\r\nnitrogen, etc., concentrations in the atmosphere could be artificially\r\nincreased.\r\n\r\nRemembering that this work began in 1994, consider these statements from the\r\narticle . . . \r\n\r\n"Begich and Manning brought to light government documents indicating that\r\nthe military has weather-control technology. When HAARP is eventually built\r\nto its full power level, it could create weather effects over entire\r\nhemispheres. If one government experiments with the world's weather\r\npatterns, what is done in one place will impact everyone else on the planet.\r\nAngels Don't Play This HAARP explains a principle behind some of Nikola\r\nTesla's inventions\u2014resonance\u2014which affect planetary systems."\r\n\r\nNikola Tesla (1865?1943), the so called "mad genius" or "wild man" of\r\nelectronics was convinced he could develop enough electric power "to split\r\nthe earth like an apple." Experimenting for a wealthy employer in the\r\nelectric business in Colorado Springs, Tesla managed to black out the entire\r\ncity and set the power generator on fire. The roar was heard for more than\r\nten miles. Yet he moved on to bigger and more successful ideas, like\r\nmissiles, particle beam weaponry, satellites, nuclear fission, and robots at\r\nthe turn of the 20th century.\r\n\r\nDr. Bernard Eastland based his work on Tesla's principles as Begich and\r\nManning discovered. Their observations are related in the Angels' article,\r\nin the section called "Weather Control" . . .\r\n\r\nAvalanches of energy dislodged by such radio waves could hit us hard. Their\r\nwork suggests that technicians could control global weather by sending\r\nrelatively small 'signals' into the Van Allen belts (radiation belts around\r\nEarth). Thus Tesla's resonance effects can control enormous energies by tiny\r\ntriggering signals.\r\n\r\nThe Begich\/ Manning book asks whether that knowledge will be used by\r\nwar-oriented or biosphere-oriented scientists.\r\n\r\nThe military has had about twenty years to work on weather warfare methods,\r\nwhich it euphemistically calls weather modification. For example, rainmaking\r\ntechnology was taken for a few test rides in Vietnam. The U.S. Department of\r\nDefense sampled lightning and hurricane manipulation studies in Project\r\nSkyfire and Project Stormfury. And they looked at some complicated\r\ntechnologies that would give big effects.\r\n\r\nAngels Don't Play This HAARP cites an expert who says the military studied\r\nboth lasers and chemicals which they figured could damage the ozone layer\r\nover an enemy. Looking at ways to cause earthquakes, as well as to detect\r\nthem, was part of the project named Prime Argus, decades ago. The money for\r\nthat came from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA, now\r\nunder the acronym ARPA.) In 1994 the Air Force revealed its Spacecast 2020\r\nmaster plan which includes weather control. Scientists have experimented\r\nwith weather control since the 1940's, but Spacecast 2020 noted that "using\r\nenvironmental modification techniques to destroy, damage or injure another\r\nstate are prohibited." Having said that, the Air Force claimed that advances\r\nin technology "compels a reexamination of this sensitive and potentially\r\nrisky topic." \r\n\r\nLest you think only Chossudovsky, Eden or Begich and Manning are concerned\r\nwith HAARP and weather control, consider scientist Dr. Rosalie Bertell,\r\nwriting in her Background of the HAARP Project:\r\n\r\nPoker Flat Rocket Launch (1968 to Present)\r\n\r\nThe Poker Flat Research Range is located about 50 km North of Fairbanks,\r\nAlaska, and it was established in 1968. It is operated by the Geophysical\r\nInstitute with the University of Alaska Fairbanks, under NASA contract.\r\nAbout 250 major rocket launches have taken place from this site, and in\r\n1994, a 16-meter long rocket was launched to help NASA "understand chemical\r\nreactions in the atmosphere associated with global climate change."\r\n\r\nSimilar experiments, but using Chemical Release Modules (CRM), have been\r\nlaunched from Churchill, Manitoba. In 1980, Brian Whelan's "Project\r\nWaterhole" disrupted an aurora borealis, bringing it to a temporary halt. In\r\nFebruary 1983, the chemical released into the ionosphere caused an aurora\r\nborealis over Churchill. In March 1989, two Black Brant X's and two Nike\r\nOrion rockets were launched over Canada, releasing barium at high altitudes\r\nand creating artificial clouds. These Churchill artificial clouds were\r\nobserved from as far away as Los Alamos, New Mexico.\r\n\r\nIf that sounds like a future you don't want on your doorstep today, consider\r\nthe opening paragraphs of Dr. Nick Begich's Star Wars, Star Trek and Killing\r\nPolitely, linked here in full . . .\r\n\r\nOver the last several years Earthpulse has been investigating the latest\r\ndevelopments in technology. This kind of activity is another form of terror we live with,\r\nbecause it seems like it can strike anywhere, anytime, in the guise of\r\nnatural event.\r\n\r\nPerhaps it is just Mother Nature kicking up her heels, perhaps not. In\r\neither case, a return to reality is called for in these surreal days. The\r\nsimple presence of HAARP is a form of psychological terror, threatening not\r\njust the weather, but the well-being of man and survival of the planet.
