{"article":{"id":150201,"heading":"St. Patty's Day---PROTEST Racist Costa Mesa City Council and Jim Gilchrist!","author":"phuk minutemen","created":"2006-03-17 07:28:42","modified":"2006-04-26 01:13:54","last_modified":"Wed, 26 Apr 2006 08:13:54","article":"<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC \"-\/\/W3C\/\/DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional\/\/EN\" \"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/TR\/REC-html40\/loose.dtd\">\n<html><body><p>The Collectivo Tonantzin, an organization\r\ndedicated toward defending the rights of\r\nundocumented workers and all oppressed\r\npeoples, will be holding a huge St. Patrick's\r\nDay protest this Friday night on the\r\npublic sidewalk surrounding Skosh Monahan's\r\nSteakhouse &amp; Irish Pub, a restaurant\r\nowned by Gary Monahan, a Costa Mesa City\r\nCouncilman.\r\n\r\nThe weekly protests are being held to\r\nexpress discontent over Monahan's decision\r\nto vote with Minuteman Mayor Allan Mansoor\r\nand Councilman Eric Bever to close the\r\nday laborer center and allow the Costa\r\nMesa Police Department to enter into an\r\nagreement with the Bureau of Immigration\r\nand Customs Enforcement (ICE) to enforce\r\nfederal immigration law.\r\n\r\nIn addition to this, the Minutemen are\r\ncoming out to dine at Skosh Monahan's on\r\nFriday nights.
