It is also time to show the Latino community that they have a voice and a right to fight for peace and stability. Fernando Suarez Del Solar is committed to self-sacrifice. At 50 years of age he cares more about ending this war than even his own health. It is apples and oranges.\r\n\r\nPeople who joined the Minutemen were not faced with the law they went to the border, if they in fact took part, willingly. There was no question of violating their oathof office or whatever. It was voluntary.\r\n\r\nOn the other hand, they never open fired on anybody either. So it is non-comparable in that respect as well.\r\n\r\nSo feel good from the praise of one person, but don't get a swelled head about it. \r\n\r\nI for one am not impressed by anyone who holds themself out as an "ex" rightist and now is a "reformed -ex" whatever.\r\n\r\nA conscript is not the same as a vigilant. And the Minutemen are not the same as either of them. You were not an Evil Rapacious Vigilante. \r\n\r\nBut don't think you're a Big Hero just because someone praises you on Indymedia. There are plenty of us who think your an a;;;;; only joking...\r\n\r\nWhat I would like to know is what made you change yourmind. Was it just hypocrisy of your comrades? Or did you change stripes?\r\n\r\nOne of the few admirable attributes of the Minutemen is that at least they are consistent. \r\n\r\nBy quitting them, you don't seem to have that attribute.","author":"Just wonderin'","parent_id":148071,"mime_type":"text\/plain","created":"2006-03-13 01:56:44","modified":"2006-03-14 07:47:25","fileurl":""}]}
