Nov. 5th to Nov. 11th.<\/span><\/b>

\r\n \r\n <\/p>

\r\n\r\nIt may seem hard to believe, but there is no widely recognized day, week or month for Peace<\/b> \r\non the US, UK or world calendars. <\/p>

\r\nThe number of martial feast days keeps growing, though. The US alone has half a dozen: Memorial Day, \r\nFlag Day, Independence Day, Patriot Day (hopefully not named after the \"Patriot Act,\" \r\nalso born on Sept. 11th, \r\nVeterans' Day and Pearl Harbor Day.<\/p>

\r\nThere is no National Peace Month, Peace Week or Peace Day at all in the US, \r\nonly occasional observations of the UN International Peace Day. \r\nIt calls for a 24-hour ceasefire - and one minute of silence.
\r\nHmm... Even if it ever happens - How many people will get killed in wars \r\nduring the other 525,599<\/b> minutes of the year? <\/p>

\r\n\r\nThe problem here is that like most of the various unofficial \r\npeace observances and peace movements, \r\nthe UN is mute about who or what is behind major wars. \r\nSince when was a tough problem ever solved with a general and vague approach \r\nthat completely ignores the instigators? <\/p>

\r\nLet's look at the warlike holidays then. At least as far back as Guy Fawkes Day, people have \r\nbeen asked to make and celebrate wars based on lies. Guy Fawkes was the original \"fall guy,\" \r\nlured into a plot to bomb Parliament to fabricate the pretext that would incite the English \r\nto make war on Spain - uncannily the very same trick as the Reichstag Fire. \r\n400 years of celebrations later, and very few people have any clue that the \r\nGunpowder Plot was a fake staged by the government. <\/p>

\r\n\r\nNeither the Taliban nor Saddam Hussein had anything to do with \r\n9\/11, \r\nyet the US Army is occupying Afghanistan and Iraq. \r\nWhen you \r\nlook into the background of the rest of the cowardly bully made-up wars, \r\nthere's nothing so glorious or victorious left to celebrate. <\/p>

\r\n\r\nAs for 11\/11 and \"1917 and all that\" - the name of an online \r\n\"untaught syllabus\" - \r\nWWI was the project of the Anglo-American banking elite to eliminate \r\nEurope as a rival power center by destroying four empires: \r\nAustria-Hungary, Germany, Russia and Turkey, as Progressive Press author Webster Tarpley notes \r\nin his Versailles Thesis \r\nonline. <\/p>

\r\nIn the same masterstroke of divide-and-conquer politics, Britain took Palestine from Turkey \r\nin 1917 to create a beachhead that would split Asia from Africa and be colonized by Jews from \r\nEurope. This was the opening salvo in a so-called \"Clash of Civilizations between the West and Islam,\" that has now taken \r\nits toll of 2,000 more American lives in Iraq.<\/p>

\r\nWall Street also financed both the \r\n1917 Bolshevik victory and \r\nHitler's war machine, leading to the carnage of WW2. These acts of treachery of a \r\nplanetary order are the thing to remember on Veterans Day. <\/p>

\r\n\r\nThere are similar stories with all the other \"foreign wars\" - see a brief list at the end of \r\nour Petition. In the incredible shrinking world of the modern era, \r\nwhere Man's ingenuity dominates Nature in every field, the phenomenon of mass warfare simply \r\nis not spontaneous either. These catastrophes are premeditated. <\/p>

\r\n\r\nThis is why we celebrate World Peace Week from Nov. 5 - Nov. 11<\/b>, \r\non this 400th anniversary of planned warfare, and every year hereafter until so many people \r\nknow the facts that the culprits cannot continue to hoodwink mankind. <\/p>

\r\n\r\nExisting Peace Holidays<\/b>
\r\nThe UN has declared Sept. 21 \r\nInternational Peace Day, and World Peace Month is usually, \r\nbut not universally set in September as well. The YMCA's World Peace Day comes around Nov. 19, \r\nat the end of Canada's YMCA World Peace Week.
\r\nPeace With Justice Week is commonly celebrated in October, but can be anytime. \r\nA general trend around the Fall season emerges from all these dates. The overall\r\neffect, or perhaps lack of same, is diffused and ad hoc.
\r\nThe world religions do pray for peace on earth (as well as inner peace) in their holidays \r\nand hymns. Indeed, the name Islam itself is based on the word for peace. Like the rest of the \r\nworld generally, all they want is to be friends and do business with us. \r\nThe last thing they want is war with us - regardless of all the propaganda.<\/p>
