Coalition for our summer picnic on July 24 at  <br>  <br> beautiful Pan-Pacific Park in LA. It will be a day of food, music,  <br>  <br> fun, socializing and political discussion. We'll also show  <br>  <br> solidarity with Cuba and Venezuela on this day by displaying flags,  <br>  <br> banners and having brief political and cultural presentations. We'll  <br>  <br> have food and drink there, but please bring your favorite dish or  <br>  <br> something to barbeque so that everyone can participate in the  <br>  <br> festivities. Progressive people of all ages are welcome. The Greening of Cuba reminds us that  <br>  <br> developed and developing nations alike can choose a healthier  <br>  <br> environment and still feed their people. <br>  <br> 38min. 1996, Spanish with English subtitles. <br><br> HASTA LA VICTORIA SIEMPRE (FOREVER UNTIL VICTORY) <br>  <br> This film by Cuban director Santiago Alvarez contains televised  <br>  <br> speeches by Ernesto Che Guevara, intercut with photographs and  <br>  <br> footage from the hills of Bolivia. In one speech, Che discusses the  <br>  <br> importance of the Cuban revolution to Latin America and the role of  <br>  <br> the U.S. in perpetuating poverty in Bolivia. <br>  <br> 28min. 1965, Spanish with English subtitles. <br><br> Films shown on big screen by projector.
