In these dangerous times, Revolutionary Communist Speaking Tour\r\nis set to hit the road, spreading revolution and communism and challenging\r\nthose at the bottom of society to step forward and become emancipators of\r\nhumanity.

\r\nIs revolution really possible? What does it mean to emancipate all of humanity\r\nand what does that have to do with Black people’s experience of slavery\r\nand oppression which continues down to today? Why is\r\ncommunism<\/span> the answer and what does it mean for people to be communists\r\nand to get involved in a communist movement?
\r\n
\r\n What kind of leadership do we need? How do you judge revolutionary\r\nleadership? Is it based on nationality or should it be based on a vision of\r\nwhere we need to go and what we need to do to get out of \r\nthis<\/span> nightmare and bring into reality our dreams of a  better\r\nworld?
\r\n
\r\n Is communism a European ideology? Are Black people too much into religion\r\nto be attracted to communism? What about spirituality: is it true that\r\ncommunism is cold and devoid of soul?
\r\n
\r\n What future does the Bush team have for the youth in the ghettos and barrios.<\/span>  Prisons  and<\/span>\r\njails, military uniforms and Bibles –  calling on the youth to pray\r\nto a non-existent god while fighting, dying, and killing others like themselves\r\nfor empire.
\r\n
\r\n Can we really rise up and actually get our freedom?
\r\n
\r\n These are all big questions. And this tour is coming your way to get into\r\nall this and more–with no holds barred.
\r\n
\r\n If we are going to be liberators of humanity, we must have a\r\nrevolutionary, scientific way of looking at the world and approaching all\r\nquestions. We need the leadership of Bob Avakian<\/span>, the\r\nChairman of the Revolutionary Communist Party (RCP). We say straight up that\r\nBob Avakian<\/span> is a visionary and creative revolutionary\r\ncommunist thinker and leader who is<\/span> serious about\r\nleading a revolution in this country. Listen to the love for and profound\r\nconfidence he has in the people:

\r\n “One of the things that I see, something that I haven’t lost\r\nsight of, is this: I see all the strength of the ruling class, but I also see\r\nall the way through all this shit, all the contradictions in society–I\r\nactually see a force in this society that, if it were developed into a\r\nrevolutionary people, actually could have a go at it, could have a real chance\r\nof making revolution, of being the backbone force for revolution, when the\r\nconditions were ripe. I see a force of millions and millions and\r\nmillions–youth and others–for whom this system is a horror.”

\r\n This tour is aiming to connect that potential and creativity with\r\nrevolutionary science–a powerful combination that could actually mean\r\nthat we would have a fighting chance to really change things.

\r\n We are revolutionary communists, and we do not believe in gods or\r\nsaviors. We look reality in the face, and we are passionate about changing the\r\nworld. <\/strong>We are:<\/span><\/em>
\r\n
\r\nCARL DIX:<\/span><\/strong> RCP National\r\nSpokesperson. In 1970 Carl was one of six active duty GI’s at Ft. Lewis\r\nwho refused orders to Vietnam.\r\nA veteran revolutionary activist, Carl was formerly with the Black\r\nWorkers’ Congress and the African Liberation Day Support Committee. He\r\nrepresented the RCP, USA, at\r\nthe founding press conference for the Revolutionary Internationalist Movement\r\nin London in\r\n1984. And he is a co-founder of the October 22nd Coalition to Stop Police\r\nBrutality in 1996.<\/em>
\r\n
\r\nCLYDE YOUNG:<\/span><\/strong> In 1990, the\r\nRevolutionary Worker published a lengthy interview with Clyde\r\nYoung, referring  to<\/span> him  as Comrade X in\r\nthat interview. As a teenager, he served  time<\/span> in\r\njuvenile “correctional institutions” and while serving a lengthy\r\nprison sentence he became a revolutionary –leading prison \r\nrebellions and other political activity. He was influenced by the revolutionary\r\nleaders and movements of the 1960s, including Malcolm X, George Jackson and the\r\nBlack Panther Party. He was also greatly influenced by Mao and the Great\r\nProletarian Cultural Revolution in China. Upon his release from\r\nprison, Clyde Young met Bob Avakian<\/span> and recognized in him unique and special qualities\r\nas a leader and also his enormous sense of humor. Clyde Young’s writings\r\nfor the revolutionary press range from essays on Martin Luther King and the\r\nVietnam War, Muhammad Ali and boxing to a major analysis of demographic\r\nchanges, “Since the 60s: Trends of Impoverishment, Oppression, and Class\r\nPolarization in the Black Nation.”<\/em>
\r\n
\r\nAKIL BOMANI:<\/span><\/strong> Akil<\/em><\/span> Bomani<\/span> is a\r\nmember of the Chicago\r\nRevolutionary Writers and Artists Collective and a correspondent to Revolution  newspaper<\/span>. Growing up in the streets of Chicago in the 1990s with\r\nhis Pentecostal mom, Akil<\/span> searched for answers. He\r\nspeaks powerfully to how he came to be a revolutionary communist in his\r\narticle, “Losing My Religion.” He is a writer, poet, rapper, and\r\nactor. Akil<\/span> is currently studying for a masters<\/span> degree in linguistics and writing a book on Black\r\nculture.<\/em>
\r\n
\r\nJOE VEALE:<\/span><\/strong> Joe Veale is the\r\nspokesperson for the Los Angeles\r\nbranch of the RCP. Joe arrived in L.A.\r\nduring the ‘92 Rebellion determined to link up with the courageous\r\nfighters there and fuse their determination to confront injustice with the\r\nscience of MLM and the cause of communist revolution. Joe is a veteran of the\r\nBlack Panther Party.<\/em>

\r\n On the tour we will also be dealing with some things that are really\r\nvexing for people :<\/span>   for example,\r\nwhat’s up with all those crucifixes–gold and otherwise–that\r\nare so popular? Why is the “Preacherman<\/span>”\r\nspeaking for and representing Black people, including some preachers who are\r\nhanging out with the Christian Fascists and the Bush crowd, skinning and\r\ngrinning and spreading that poison among Black people?And<\/span><\/span> what about Bill Cosby’s recent (and\r\non-going) tirade about personal responsibility and why is he playing the role\r\nof a bootlicker and a flunkey for the ruling class (the powers-that-be) with\r\nall that drivel?  <\/p>\r\n\r\n

What about all that dissin<\/span>’ and disrespectin<\/span>’ the sisters and all that\r\n“manhood” shit?
\r\n 
\r\nAnd why do so many young women with so much creativity and revolutionary\r\npotential think that the only thing they can do in life is to \"make\r\nbabies?\"
\r\n
\r\n What about all that hip-hop capitalism and entrepreneurialism? How can\r\nthe masses change the world if they, the very people who need  revolution\r\nthe most, are caught up in all that “bling-bling<\/span>”\r\nand “gettin<\/span>’ paid and gettin<\/span>’\r\nrich” and  “pimpin<\/span>’ and playin<\/span>’” and “bangin<\/span>’\r\nand slangin<\/span>’”? 
\r\n
\r\n People of all nationalities who are brutally oppressed \r\nat<\/span> the bottom of society need to start “fighting the powers that\r\nbe” and start being revolutionaries and communists and emancipators of\r\nhumanity!
\r\n
\r\n This tour is right on time<\/span>. We are restless, we\r\nare passionate and we are ready to hit the road. So look out, here we come,\r\ndropping science as we travel from one end of the country to another.
