Women are the hope for the nation. Where a woman serves in leadership things changes but I don’t know why men in politics are afraid to allow women to be the head. All over the world today women make impart in politics. We have heard of so many women in leadership, to mention a few of them. Mother Theresa, Margaret Thatcher, Olufunmilayo Ramsome-Kuti, and the great Madam Tinubu, both in Nigeria. These are hero of our time. In my country Nigeria, for instance, women are not allowed to practice politics. It’s between 2 of 10 you see now that the percentage is very low. I know that in the United States, the government recognized women to be in politics. They gave women the right to freedom of speech. Unlike in Africa it is not common to see a woman in politics. Women are good Managers go to the Banks, Oil fields, Multi-National companies, or in the Industries you will see that women were good mentors, there is protocol among them and they serve the masses better. Men are very proud of their women they know that without their wives beside them they cannot achieve their goal. One adage said: Beside every successful man is a good woman. I did not say that women are better than men, no! What I am saying is that let us give them a chance to rule and see the progress in the country. Let us see the story of some great women who served the world. In history women have accomplished their greatest achievement later in life perhaps the most famous story of this era is of Anna Mary Robertson, otherwise known as “Grandma Moses” she was an American primitive painter who at the age of 76 without ever having had an art lessons began painting realistic scenes of rural life that were critically acclaimed and made her famous she lived 101 years and created 1, 600 masterpiece. In 1869, Susan B. Anthony and her friend Elizabeth Cady Stanton founded the National Women’s Suffrage Association. They would be instrumental in passing the 19th Amendment giving women the right to vote. They were 49 and 54 years old respectively. Most historians date the beginning of the modern American civil right movement to December 1 1955. That was the day when an unknown seamstress in Montgomery, Ala refused to give up her bus seat to a white passenger. The brave woman Rosa Parks was arrested and fined for violating a city ordinance but her lonely art of defiance began a movement that ended legal segregation in America and made her an inspiration to freedom loving people everywhere. She was 41 years old
