I guess the Norton anti-virus software will keep you from blowing yourself up with such a device.

Truly amazing ignorance. I don't think most Americans that own a computer realize that such a device is like a booby trap that Bush or Rumsfield can detonate from anywhere.

RUMSFIELD GIVES OK TO SHOOT AT US TROOPS

"Get the political process going ASAP" is what Donald Rumsfield said according to ABC NEWS to the new Iraqi government during a "surprise visit". They have been doing just that for a while now, usually labeled as Saddam loyalists, terrorists, and insurgents in that order. ABC also captured a sound bite from a troop on the ground.

Apparently ABC learned that an Iraqi military trainee wants to execute "insurgents" in public for making him do his duty.

The US troop on the ground responded to that by saying "That is what's so difficult, we can't let them revert back to why we came over here." or something very close to that.

If he was halfway competetent as a soldier he would have told the media he had "no comment". The trainee already knows what Rumsfield wants him to do.

It was clear that the troop does not approve of public executions. It is more likely that the response was cleared by the military as peaceful and benign, or the soldier was told what to say if he was indeed a US soldier. Hence the problem with keeping everything a secret and the surrealistic idea that Bill Clinton commanded the military, the CIA, or the Justice Department. Not with a dictator's iron fist the way the GOP does.

Bill Clinton had a slim chance of even prosecuting the obviously guilty much less assuming control of that fundamental aspect of power. Yet within a month of taking office every one in the US seemed to assume he was an all powerful dictator. Within 3 months the GOP had picked his cabinet for him all the way down to his press secretary. (Branch Davidian cult/Texas separatists era of modern US history)

The same better informed yet oblivious lefties did complain when Jean Baptist Aristide was removed from power in Haiti overnight have a perception that Clinton ordered torture and executions.

Not only did the GOP declare war several times since 1980, they used war and warlike power against the United States of America as a people, a government, and a nation.

They declared the wars in public but like cowards they were on TV. The penalty for suddenly declaring war on TV, in my opinion and based on US law, is public execution by firing squad. It was a treasonable act in all instances where idealogical wars are suddenly declared on TV.

Democracy is just a process of counting and legitimizing what must be done and we all know what must be done from the dumbest Iraqi trainee all the way up to the new National Intelligence Director.

Those in the Bush administration who don't want to face a firing squad should be shot in the back in the traditional manner. Deserters get shot in the back as a tradition in America.

Is that not what Bush is. A DESERTER PRESIDENT. He is certainly a disaster as a "war president".

Did he not demand large sums of money and threaten the US with more sabotage including nuclear and biological attacks if we did not pay up?

Did we pay up? Did he demand more?

I guess what the scared little American soldier on the ground was trying to say is if we train them that good we might lose the oil and uranium mines to the west and have to do this all over again until the Persians lose all hope.

The reelection of Clinton came as kind of a surprise to me. I didn't vote in either election. When I don't vote I get the candidate of my choice based on current available selections. During that time Bob Dole promised America terrorist attacks if we voted for Bill Clinton and should of course be executed for saying such a thing while holding a seat in the Senate.
