YOU THINK YOU KNOW................BUT YOU HAVE NO\r\nIDEA..............JUST WHAT BUSH HAS IN STORE\r\nFOR.....YOU.....US.....THE WORLD.....OUR FUTURE!<\/p>\r\n
Straight up—Bush and his people aren’t just ordinary\r\nRepublicans. And they’re not ordinary Christians either. They are\r\nChristian Fascists<\/em>—dangerous fanatics who aim to make\r\nthe U.S. a religious dictatorship and to force this upon the world. If\r\nthey get their way—and they are very far along the road to\r\ngetting it—society will be plunged into a high-tech Dark\r\nAges.<\/p>\r\n\r\n Those who compare Bush to Hitler are right! But, don’t be\r\nwaiting for people wearing little mustaches and marching the Nazi\r\ngoose-step to come to your town. This brand of fascism is coming\r\ndifferently, and it's coming straight from the White House.<\/p>\r\n Staring at Christian Fascism\r\n People say, \"they couldn’t, no they just wouldn’t\"\r\nstrip away \"classic\" U.S. democracy and plunge us into\r\nfascism. But let’s see what they’ve done... and what they\r\n\r\nplan<\/em> to do.<\/p>\r\n Bush believes that he is on a \"mission from\r\nGod,\"<\/strong> and so do his cronies. Army General William Boykin\r\nrecently declared that the Iraqi people were the \"face of\r\nSatan,\" that the Christian God was the only true and\r\n\"real\" god, and that \"God himself\" put Bush in the\r\nWhite House. He said all this publicly and in uniform, no less—and\r\nafter people protested it, Boykin was promoted!<\/em> Over the years\r\nthese Christian Fascists have dug in at every level of the courts, the\r\narmy and Congress. BUT NOW THEY PLAN TO GO FURTHER, moving more\r\nthoroughly into the highest levels of power. Supreme Court Justice\r\nScalia and other highly placed Republicans want to wipe out the\r\nseparation of church and state, and use government to support and\r\nenforce religious belief.<\/p>\r\n\r\n Bush has launched a worldwide \"crusade.\"<\/strong>\r\nIn the name of \"good vs. evil,\" he’s killed tens of\r\nthousands of people in Iraq, and maybe more—and still the war\r\nrages. In the name of \"fighting terror\", he justifies\r\ntorturing people in prisons like Guantanamo and murdering wounded\r\nprisoners in Iraq. This proven liar has rammed through a new\r\n\"doctrine\" that lets him wage war whenever and wherever he\r\nsays he \"sees a threat\", and there is no telling where\r\nhe’ll stop. The U.S. has long committed monstrous crimes around the\r\nworld ... and NOW THEY PLAN TO GO FURTHER. The imperialists in power—all of them, with Bush at the core—want total global empire.\r\nBush himself believes in Armageddon, that Islam is \"evil\",\r\nand that he is \"fighting for God.\" How many people, halfway\r\n\r\n’round the world or right down the block, will lose their lives to\r\nthis lunacy? Lunacy backed up by, and serving, imperialism.<\/p>\r\n Bush’s gang suppresses science.<\/strong> They’ve\r\ntaken control of scientific agencies. They promote\r\n\"creationism\" against evolution and they suppress scientific\r\nresearch on life-and-death issues like global warming, the AIDS\r\nepidemic, and stem-cell research. Unless they can use it to make money\r\nor make weapons, Bush’s people hate<\/em> the scientific spirit\r\nof trying to figure out how the world really works. Science calls into\r\nquestion their dogmatic interpretation of the Bible that prepares\r\npeople to sacrifice for \"god and country\"—and never ask\r\nwhy.<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n Bush is dismantling democratic rights.<\/strong> Tens of\r\nthousands of immigrants have been detained and deported for little, if\r\nany, reason and thousands more have been imprisoned with no charges—many for years<\/em>. The Bush regime spies on political and\r\nreligious groups. It suppresses ordinary protests with massive force,\r\nincluding even tanks in the streets. And it openly<\/em>\r\ndisenfranchised hundreds of thousands of Black voters in the last\r\nelection. All this, AND NOW THEY PLAN ON GOING FURTHER. Bush aims to\r\npass more fascist laws, his flunkies threaten artists and intellectuals\r\nwho dare to step outside the lines, they are invading all aspects of\r\ndaily life—and it is an open question as to whether any rights\r\nat all will be left standing.<\/p>\r\n Bush’s Morality: Hypocrisy and Hatred\r\n Bush talks about \"values,\" but if you’re a single\r\nwoman and you want to live your own life ... or if you’re gay and\r\nproud ... these Christian Fascists have you in their cross-hairs.\r\nThey’ve severely restricted the right to abortion and tried to put\r\nindependent-minded women on the defensive. They whipped up anti-gay\r\nhatred as a big part of their presidential campaign. BUT NOW THEY ARE\r\nGOING MUCH FURTHER. Bush aims to appoint new Supreme Court justices who\r\nwill totally outlaw abortion, and he wants to pass a constitutional\r\namendment against gay marriage. And these fascists also go after the\r\nmore humane forms of Christianity that don’t share their hateful\r\nbigotry.<\/p>\r\n\r\n \"Values?\" These people have the morality of a lynch mob!\r\nIf you are Black or Latino, and especially if you are up against the\r\nmerciless conditions of the inner city ... then you too are in the\r\ncross-hairs. Bush plans to rip out even social security. He wants to do\r\nhealth care, education, welfare, and even prisons through churches that\r\nare directly approved, funded by and answering to<\/em> the\r\ngovernment. These churches will not \"lift people up\"—and\r\nthese programs will degrade<\/em> people, insisting that they agree\r\nthat their hunger, their homelessness, and their problems flow from\r\ntheir \"sins\"—and not from a system that has oppressed them\r\nfrom Day One. And the full Christian Fascist plan—which includes\r\nvastly expanded capital punishment for minor crimes, in accord with Old\r\nTestament \"morality\"—is far worse, with a downright\r\ngenocidal direction to it.<\/p>\r\n\r\n A Time for Resistance\r\n Are we exaggerating? If anything, people have always\r\nunder<\/em>-estimated just how fast and how far Bush would go. And\r\nnow he claims a \"mandate\" for his lunacy. No, Bush and the\r\npeople around him are deadly serious and aim to go much further than\r\nalmost anyone expects.<\/p>\r\n As for \"mandate?\" BULL! The will of the people was NOT\r\nexpressed in this election. Kerry didn’t call Bush out for his lies\r\nand deception, or expose the real horrors of Bush’s deeds—and \r\nhis plans. There was no real fight, and people should not grant a\r\nshred of legitimacy to Bush.<\/p>\r\n\r\n And waiting for yet another Democrat to disappoint and betray people\r\nfour years from now is not only worthless—it may be way too\r\nlate. What we need now, very urgently and very immediately, is\r\nRESISTANCE. Resistance, in the words of Bob Avakian, Chairman of the\r\nRevolutionary Communist Party, \"that refuses to be bound by the\r\nterms of mainstream politics or the notion that this politics\r\nrepresents the ’ultimate word’ on the ’will of the\r\npeople.’ Resistance that will not just protest the juggernaut of\r\nwar and fascism but go all-out to STOP it. Resistance that will reach\r\nout and win over people who have been deceived by this madness but\r\nwhose deepest interests are opposed to it. Resistance that will be\r\nunited—but will still include space for dreams and debate.\"<\/p>\r\n We can build on the past resistance to the Iraq war and other Bush\r\noutrages. But this must come back together and take a huge leap with\r\nmajor actions when Bush is inaugurated on January 20th, 2005. People\r\neverywhere must see that there really ARE \"two Americas,\"\r\nsquaring off over the future.<\/p>\r\n\r\n The Revolutionary Way Out\r\n This Christian Fascism didn’t materialize out of thin air. It\r\narose on the basis of CAPITALISM and the most powerful capitalists\r\nsupport it (even as they fight among themselves).<\/p>\r\n What do we mean by capitalism? Today, people could produce enough\r\nfood, housing and clothing to provide a decent life to everyone on the\r\nplanet. But the means to do this are owned and controlled by a handful\r\nof global capitalist-imperialists who are driven to get ever greater\r\nprofit, or else go under. And so half the people on the planet live on\r\nless than $2 a day. Billions go hungry. People are driven from country\r\nto city and then around the world, desperately seeking work, while\r\ncommunities in the U.S. are left to rot. And now the Bush lunacy has\r\ntaken this to an even more terrible level.<\/p>\r\n But imagine a different future. A future where people consciously\r\nlearn about and transform the world, and are not imprisoned in the\r\nchains of tradition and ignorance. A world without racism and without\r\nborders. A vibrant place, where people together debate and decide how\r\nto develop society. A world where people no longer wonder where their\r\nnext meal will come from, or if they will be homeless, or abandoned or\r\nsick in their old age—a world of abundance, where people\r\ntogether hold all of society’s resources in common. A world where\r\npeople not only work to produce the necessities of life, but get into\r\nart and culture and science—and have fun doing it! A world\r\nwithout the domination of women by men, where people interact with each\r\nother based on mutual respect, concern and love for humanity. A world\r\nthat looks out for and takes care of the environment.<\/p>\r\n That world is communism. And we can get to that world.<\/p>\r\n\r\n A Revolutionary Society\r\n But how? Through revolution—where those who are today\r\nexploited and oppressed rise up and defeat the powers-that-be. A\r\nrevolution led by the class that owns nothing but its ability to work,\r\nand yet works together to make the world run. A revolution in which\r\nthis class steps on to the stage of history and leads tens of millions\r\nmore—including the millions who hate the cruel reign of Bush\r\nand the Christian fascists.<\/p>\r\n Revolutions don’t happen overnight, or by accident. But when a\r\ndeep crisis suddenly erupts in society, and when a revolutionary party\r\nhas been actively organizing and preparing people for such an opening,\r\nand when millions of people begin to think we need a basic change ...\r\nand become a \"revolutionary people\" ... then dreams can be\r\nseized in the clear light of day. No, we’re not there yet—but \r\nthe extreme changes being wrought by the Bush crew could very well\r\nlead to such a crisis. And our Party is doing all it can to bring\r\nforward a revolutionary people to seize that time, whenever it may\r\ncome.<\/p>\r\n\r\n People have made this kind of revolution before—first in\r\nRussia, then in China. And they accomplished amazing things. In the\r\nend, however, those revolutions were finally turned back and defeated\r\nby the guardians of the old order. But building on their tremendous\r\naccomplishments—and examining deeply and unsparingly their\r\nnegative experiences—Bob Avakian has brought forward a radical\r\nnew \"model\" and vision of what this socialist society must be\r\nall about.<\/p>\r\n Socialist society will enable people to solve the most burning\r\nproblems that bedevil us today. The \"rule of profit\" will be\r\nshattered and there will be jobs, health care, decent housing and\r\nstimulating education—for everyone. Communities will be centers\r\nwhere people join to solve the problems that hold society back. The\r\nracism and white supremacy that is woven so deeply into the fabric of\r\nAmerican capitalism, and the chains of women’s oppression that\r\nstill weigh so heavily, will be struggled against and uprooted—from \r\nthe gitgo! And the socialist state will not oppress other nations—instead, \r\nit will support revolution all around the world.<\/p>\r\n\r\n But even more crucially, the new society will unleash people to\r\nchange the world. People will count for something—in fact, for\r\neverything. Those who were formerly locked out of working with ideas\r\nwill do exactly that—they will work with their minds and\r\nparticipate in society in an all-round way. The leadership of society\r\nwill work to unleash diverse thinking and action from the bottom up and\r\neverywhere else. It will foster dissent<\/em>, including\r\nopposition to the government itself<\/em>; it will learn all it can\r\nfrom people, so that society can move forward. The youth will be\r\ntreasured for their dreams, their daring ... and their impatience.\r\nThere will be ferment and upheaval—far beyond what we can\r\nimagine today.<\/p>\r\n And yes, there must be, and there will be, firm leadership to hold\r\nonto power for the people and to guide all the complex and challenging\r\nstruggle. Through this whole process, and as other revolutions develop\r\naround the world, the state itself will draw more and more millions\r\ninto the direct rule of every part of society until the division of\r\npeople into ruler and ruled is finally overcome, in communist\r\nsociety.<\/p>\r\n This socialism, as envisioned by Bob Avakian, will embrace<\/em>\r\n\r\nscientists, intellectuals, and artists. They’ll continue their\r\nintellectual and artistic work, deepening the store of human knowledge,\r\neven as they break down barriers with other sections of society,\r\nespecially the formerly exploited and oppressed. The leadership of\r\nsociety won’t fear their tendency to question everything, or to\r\nlook at things in new ways. On the contrary, it will welcome this in a\r\nway that no other society can—for without lively questioning\r\nand \"air to breathe\", socialism would not<\/em> be a place\r\npeople would want to live, nor would it open up the road to\r\ncommunism.<\/p>\r\n In this revolutionary society people will be able to practice\r\nreligion and go to church—or not—as they please. But\r\nthe schools, and the government generally, will promote a scientific\r\napproach to understanding and changing material reality. On that basis,\r\na new morality will be forged. It will cherish the lives of the people\r\nof the world and uphold equality between nations and peoples and\r\nbetween men and women. It will value struggle against the oppressive\r\nrelations that still remain, and not resignation and surrender to\r\nthem.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n Two futures confront each other. Will imperialism force a future of\r\ndarkness and suffocation onto the people? Will tens of millions more\r\nneedlessly suffer and die? OR<\/strong>, will the critical\r\nspirit be unleashed in a way that does a great GOOD for humanity? Will society move forward\r\nin a revolutionary direction and set about removing the great suffering\r\nand misery cast down on the people by capitalism? \r\n\r\n<\/p>\r\n To put it another \r\nway, which vision will prevail: that of\r\nGeorge W. Bush? Or of Bob Avakian?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n Each of us has a part in answering this question. We know that the\r\njob is huge, the time is short, and the odds are long. Yet we are down\r\nfor this, all the way down, and optimistic as well.<\/p>\r\n\r\n But let us put it to YOU: if you’ve been agonizing about the\r\nfuture, if you nodded your head as you read this statement, then...\r\nwhat are YOU gonna do? Are YOU going to be one of thousands who come\r\ntogether now and help create the force that can lead millions against\r\nthis madness, when millions are ready to be led? Will you help create\r\nand bring onto the stage a revolutionary people<\/em>? Are you ready\r\nto check out this Party and this leader? Will you bring your ideas,\r\nyour creativity, your questions and yes, your disagreements to us, and\r\nhelp figure out how we can rise to the occasion? Are YOU ready to\r\nmake a real difference<\/em>—to not only spread the word of\r\nresistance and revolution, but make that a real<\/em> alternative in\r\nsociety?<\/p>\r\n Don’t let Bush determine the future.
