SHOCKED N. BEMUSED - NYT REPORTS NEOCON DUPLICITY

BEMUSED - NEOCON-CABAL - HOOKED ON "SNAKE OIL" DISSEMBLING SPIN FOR THE STREET - NOW FOLLY OF UTOPIAN PURSUIT OF WORLD EMPIRE

Critical reading of history, finds kings, princes, juntas, oligarchs, or power elite of today's "democracies", often mad with power, turn to economic and cultural adventures abroad, we may denote as investment, exploitation of resources and peoples, piracy, colonialism, hegemony - from the time of Alexander the Great to Shrub (the little Bush of Crawford Texas) pre-emptive aggression inspired by a vision of world empire.

The leaders of this power elite, we'll denote as the "warrior class", expect both material and psychological reward as well as "patriotic" support from various venues collectively required to assure and reinforce the position of this elite in control.

The current USA Neocon-Cabal power elite appears as a comfortable collaboration with Politico, Military, Bank and Business "leaders", as well as with "active" interested leaders in various certain "religious" and other ideological venues - veterans, gun owners, etc …

The specter of crisis, or moral crusade has been represented to inspire support of the mass of society, as well as "spin", to suggest "action and concern" for many particular interests from abortion, marriage, taxes, control of borders … etc.

The folly of the USA war in Vietnam, at first to support and then to replace the French attempt to restore their colonial control after the defeat of the Japanese in WW - II, to prevent an indigenous revolution, was sold as "defense" against a joint communist conspiracy of Russia, China (actually at odds and in dispute with each other), and the Vietnamese communist party working to install communist regimes in all of the far east, introduced the "Domino Theory" into our slogans and basis for international policy. The fiction of an attack against a USA ship in the Tonkin Gulf was the "spin" (Vietnamese communist provocation) to "justify" commencement of the madness of USA military intervention in Vietnam, continued for seven years, blind to reality, and "hooked" on dissembling myth.

Domestic politics appears to have assured the continued mis-representation of USA policies and action, fearing that admission of error and failure was not acceptable for this costly and massive quagmire, as we pursued a policy to put a USA an anti-communist puppet in control - surely not to install a "democratic" regime to reflect the will of the

Vietnamese people in their indigenous revolution for independence.

Putting aside the USA interventions in the domestic politics of other nations, to remove democratically elected regimes and leaders (Mossadegh in Iran, Allende in Chile, Aristide in Haiti, Hugo Chavez in Venezuela…), and otherwise collaborate with Oligarchs, Juntas, etc. to frustrate political action of the indigenous "street" (Colombia, Argentina, Indonesia, and many - many others), I chose to high-light Vietnam to suggest a growing quagmire in Iraq, the USA Neocon-Cabal unable to admit or recognize error, completely out of touch with reality, and therefore quite unable to create and pursue a pragmatic policy to dis-engage from this folly.

Naoimi Klein "Pillaging Iraq in Pursuit of Neocon Utopia", Harper's Magazine September, presents a comprehensive exposition of Paul Bremer's efforts to impose the USA policies of reorganization and exploitation of the economic structure of Iraq for the benefit of American entrepreneurs (old Europe, Russia and "others" - not welcome) with follow-up now by John Dimitri Negroponte, US ambassador to Iraq.

As we become aware of the "blowback" from USA policies of "shock and awe", creating strong animosities against USA actions, policies, puppets, use of high priced USA firms and expatriates, lack of understanding for Iraq history, constituencies, destruction of infrastructure, death and injury to civilians it surely appears that the American actions have been totally counter-productive, likely an incentive to inspire recruits for induction as terrorists against American facilities , interests, and allies - world wide.

The pitch and myth that America is in Iraq to bring democracy and freedom to it's people, is revealed as an outrageous mis-representation, as was all the dissembling doctored "intelligence" about WMD, nuclear programs "underway", and collaboration of Iraq with Al-Qaeda or in the terrorism of 9/11.

The NYT editorial of Oct. 23 confirmed the Douglas Feith's "Office of Special Plans" appears to have been created to "manufacture" so called "intelligence" to justify pre-emptive attack (un-provoked aggression) against Iraq, quite at odds with extensive analysis by the CIA and other USA intelligence agencies. Using the Feith's OSP "intelligence" in presentations to the UN, the congress and the public, the Neocon-Cabal appears surely responsible for the folly of the American pre-emptive aggression of war against Iraq, the blowback, and current quagmire.

America now has the opportunity in the November election to replace this collection of ideologues, out of touch with reality, and either "hooked by their own dissembling myths and snake oil", or too arrogant to admit error for a failed policy and implementation, based on impossible objectives, and the growing critique, and cost in money, American lives, and credibility around the world.
