{"article":{"id":102813,"heading":"South Korea fights against FTA and war","author":"KCTU\/ETU-MB","created":"2004-02-12 06:41:35","modified":"2013-11-11 00:28:44","last_modified":"Mon, 11 Nov 2013 07:28:44","article":"<p>Farmers, workers, students and migrant workers [because of security reasons only one delegate Myeong-dong Sit-in Struggle Collective (related article you can read here: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.base21.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">http:\/\/www.base21.org\/<\/a>) was fighting there] are struggling against a new troop dispatching bill and the possibly devastating consequences of the new &ldquo;Free Trade Agreement&rdquo; between South Korea and Chile (&lsquo;cause here they, special the farmers, are worrying, that&rsquo;s only the beginning of their end). <br>  <br> In the case of troop dispatching: many South Koreans are seeing the US troops here as occupation forces, most of the population are complete against the war against Iraq, as well against the occupation there. <br>  <br> In the beginning of last year hundreds of thousands were demonstrating against the presence of US troops here and planned aggression against Iraq.  <br>  <br> Because of some strange tactics of some political organizations the movement was on the brink to break into pieces.  <br>  <br> But before y&rsquo;day the anti-capitalist\/anti-war movement showed that they are still alive. Tenth of thousands demonstrated against the National Assembly&rsquo;s (South Korean parliament) planned decision to send the troops and ratify the FTA.
