A few middle-class women and men were talking about Ahnuld's long history of sexual battery (as opposed to just harassment ) of women. My jaw dropped when I heard the woman from Code Pink recall her conversation with Schwarzenegger's wife, saying how he would never be with her if she had been raped, since he would think of her as "damaged goods"...\r\n\r\nBut ya know Governor Davis also has a not so gray history of violence against working class and poor women by way of his policies: favoring incarceration for drug offenders rather than treatment, proposing highly regressive sales taxes (on food, medicine, etc) to balance the state deficit, the draconian 3 strikes law, whipping welfare recipients into below market wage rate "workfare" programs, without creating new jobs (so that regular employees are canned for the cheaper workfare slaves), a 3 year waiting list for Section 8 housing in Los Angeles.... \r\n\r\n\r\n I was disappointed that Democracy Now did not talk about the violence of Gray Davis.
