The Bureau of Prisons transferred

him to a temporary holding facility in Oklahoma City. You can go to

http:\/\/www.bop.gov\/<\/a> for listings. I plan on calling tomorrow to find out

details. Sherman said that he going to be transferred to Tucson Arizona--a

medium security prison. There is one federal facility in Tucson. This is

unacceptable. I have an attorney who is willing to handle the case, but we need donations to cover the fee. We want him moved to Lompoc

I hope it's not too

much to ask for you to continue to call, send, e-mail, and fax letters to

the following people urging them to transfer him to a facility in Southern

or Central California. Spring St., #G-23\r\nLos Angeles CA 90012\r\n\r\nDear Sir:\r\n I'm contacting you regarding the case of a federal prisoner,\r\nMr Sherman Austin, booking number 0309300141 and Federal ID#\r\n51565-054.\r\n\r\n It is my understanding that he is being transferred to a\r\nmedium security federal prison in Arizona. I wish to register\r\nmy protest at this action.\r\n\r\n Mr. Austin is a nonviolent prisoner with no prior criminal\r\nhistory. Mr. Austin and his family reside in California. Is it\r\nnot highly unusual to transfer a prisoner under such circumstances\r\nas these out of state, to a medium security facility? This will\r\nimpose great hardships on both Mr. Austin and his family. I urge\r\nyou to reconsider, and instead send Mr. Austin to the federal\r\nfacility at Lompoc, which I understand would be the normal\r\ncourse of action in such a case.\r\n\r\nThank you in advance for your consideration of this request.\r\n\r\nSincerely,\r\netc.\r\n\r\n","author":"me","parent_id":82794,"mime_type":"text\/plain","created":"2003-09-14 21:21:20","modified":"2003-09-14 21:21:20","fileurl":""}]}
