When Howard Dean makes statesments such as the following list, it indicates to me that he is just another wolf in sheep\\'s clothing:\r\n\r\n\r\nHoward Dean: \r\n\r\n\\"...Iraq is an imminent threat to the nations in the region, but he doesn\\'t happen to be an imminent threat to the United States.\\"\r\n\r\n-Howard Dean,David Corn Interview, Radio Nation, March12, 2003\r\n\r\n\r\nClearly untrue. Iraq after two wars, a devastated infrastructure, and 12 years of medieval styled sanctions was in no, way shape or form an \\"imminent threat\\" to even the nations of the region. The neighbors of Iraq stood against authorizing the use of force.\r\n\r\n\r\nHoward Dean: \r\n\r\n\\"You know, the person I admire the most -- even though I disagree with his conclusions -- is Joe Lieberman, because Joe Lieberman said from the outset that he was a hawk. He believed we should go into Iraq now. That they were a present danger, and that he supports the president\\'s unilateral war.\\"\r\n -Dean, same interview\r\n\r\n\r\nThis is something to \\"admire?\\" On national radio? As an alleged \\"anti-war candidate?\\" This man is a fraud. Lieberman should be kicked out of the Democratic party as being a non-Democrat. And Dean \\"admires\\" him.\r\n\r\n\r\nHoward Dean: \r\n\r\n\\"I think North Korea\\'s likely to go nuclear on this president\\'s watch and we are fighting the wrong war at the wrong time.\\"\r\n -Dean, same interview\r\n\r\n\r\nSo ... we should be bombing North Korea, Howard? Which war should we be fighting exactly? And why? And do you have better evidence for this new war than Bush and Cheney managed to manufacture over Iraq?\r\n\r\n\r\nHoward Dean: \r\n\r\n\\"But Joe (Lieberman) has stood up for his convictions everywhere even when it was not popular to do so.\\" \r\n -Dean, same interview\r\n\r\nSo did Adolph Hitler. So what? \r\n\r\nLieberman\\'s \\"convictions\\" are the problem, and the reason the Democrats in congress voted King Chimp unlimited warmongering authority. \r\n\r\nObviously these \\"convictions\\" aren\\'t a problem in the eyes of Howard Dean. Dean has not questioned the rationale of the alleged \\"War on Terror\\" and cites the term several times in his interview. \r\n\r\nDean Interview Audio\r\nhttp:\/\/www.nationinstitute.org\/radionation\/\r\n\r\n\r\nDEAN ADMITS HE LIED AT THE AFL-CIO DEBATE\r\n\r\nNewsday article: \\"Dean says he misspoke at AFL-CIO debate\\"\r\nhttp:\/\/tinyurl.com\/j9ej\r\n\r\n(See the debate through C-Span: http:\/\/www.c-span.org\/)\r\n\r\nDean \\"misspoke.\\" \r\n\r\nWhen I ms-speak, they say I\\'m lying. I guess Dean has been annointed by the press as the new golden boy. The liar.\r\n\r\nIf he\\'s already lying to the world, folks, what makes you think he\\'s going to tell you the truth as president of the United States?\r\n\r\nI\\'ve had it up to here with lying scum.\r\n\r\n\r\nAnother Dean Lie I just discovered:\r\nPBS Newshour Online, 2\/25\/03\r\nhttp:\/\/www.pbs.org\/newshour\/bb\/politics\/jan-june03\/dean_2-25.html\r\n\r\n\\"FMR. GOV. HOWARD DEAN: What they voted for was to allow the president of the United States to attack Iraq unilaterally without going back to Congress. So the four folks that I\\'m running against who are from Congress all voted to give the president that power. The objection that I have... the greatest objection is for the folks that voted for it and then went to Iowa and California and pretended they are against the war. That doesn\\'t wash. We\\'re not going to elect a president of the United States but nominating somebody who says one thing and does something else, and appears to be willing to say whatever it takes to become president. \\"\r\n\r\nMr. Dean:\r\n\t\r\nYou are running against Dennis Kucinich.\r\nDennis Kucinich is \\"from Congress.\\"\r\nDennis Kucinich did NOT vote to give the president that power.\r\n\r\nTherefore, Dean, you are a liar.\r\n\r\nAnd it appears that you are \\"willing to say whatever it takes to become president.\\"\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAnother article:\r\nHoward Dean, Hawk in Dove\\'s Cloting?\r\nhttp:\/\/www.commondreams.org\/views03\/0226-04.htm\r\n","author":"TCR","parent_id":76025,"mime_type":"image\/jpeg","created":"2003-08-08 13:32:51","modified":"2005-08-15 01:38:13","fileurl":"\/usr\/local\/www-domains\/la.indymedia.org\/public\/uploads\/2003\/08\/dennis-oc3.jpg","image":{"original":"\/usr\/local\/www-domains\/la.indymedia.org\/public\/uploads\/2003\/08\/dennis-oc3.jpg"}}],"comments":[{"id":76084,"heading":"Where are the protesters?","article":"I find it interesting that your photographer excluded the anti-Loretta Sanchez-Brixley protesters that showed up that day. He never said he was. But by taking him out of context on this page, you are doing yourself a disservice.\r\n\r\nI support Kucinich, but I don't support baching other candidates with midleading statements.\r\n\r\nRegarding Lieberman, Dean was speaking about how many candidates, like Wes Clark, have changed their mind on the Iraq issue a dozen times during the course of the campaign. He said that only himself and Kucinich and Lieberman have stuck with their original convictions. He was pointing out that Lieberman's integrity was admirable... no his position.\r\n\r\nRegarding the confederate flag. Dean said that he wanted the votes of people who put confederate flags in their car. It was a statement about how the Republicans have misled the people in the South, tricking them into voting in candidates that enforce poor education and poverty. And Dean was talking about changing that.\r\n\r\nAnd the rest of your statements are rather similar. You can hurt a candidate by taking stuff out of context. But you really hurt yourself when you engage in this sort of behavior. \r\n\r\nDean supports the NRA. How about that?
