On May 12, 2002, artists gathered at the Palace in Hollywood to create a joyous declaration of defiance.  ArtSpeaks!  Not In Our Name was the first major concert aggainst the war, breaking through the suffocating atmosphere of war and repression - with art, poetry and music.

The concert was a harbinger of things to come.  From hip hop to the philharmonic...from indy to studio filmmakers...from underground poetry houses to the Lincoln Center...on graffiti and gallery walls...poets, artists, actors, playwrights, dancers, novelists, musicians and filmmakers would join in the creation of a culture of resistance that would speak to millions

This film captures the beginning.
