While the officers said he was "proud" of his fellow officers in Iraq... he was also a bit shocked at their methods. The LAPD cops are training the Iraqis... not with clubs, tear gas, or rubber bullet guns... but with AK 47 rifles.\r\n\r\nThe video tape from Iraq shows LAPD members showing Iraqi police how to strike people using their AK's. Lessons on "jabbing" people using the barrel of the AK are also on tape.\r\n\r\nThe LAPD is well known for it's willingness to use force against demonstrators, but they are NOT carrying fully automatic AK 47s in breaking up protests (at least not yet). The "training" currently being provided to Saddam's ex-Police force is the type that will result in death and severe injury.
