MIWON's member organizations have been getting a lot of attention for organizing among the most difficult groups to organize: people without papers. That they come out to march in public really impresses me; I wonder if I would have the same courage.
Personally, I was quite bummed out about this yellow stripe. Do Not Cross. The organizers held a plastic line to cordon in the march. The streets were cleared out beforehand. This is what "democracy" looks like during wartime.
This had nothing to do with the demo, but it's a shop that's going to be opening up on Broadway. It's funny how eager I am to try out Afghan fast food. What's the rule here? Bomb first, eat later.
