To Peace\/Anti-War Activsts:



A brief statement regarding recent somewhta inflammatory discussions about Zionism and anti-Semitism in the Peace Movement.



I am calling on you to not let outside forces splinter our wonderfully successful Peace Movement. All of us who are sincerely involved in the Movement are

against oppression of all kinds (including racism and anti-Semitism) and, most urgently, WE ARE ALL AGAINST THE WAR ON IRAQ. I believe that it is because of our strengthand success that we are being targeted with attemps at division. We have already stopped this war from starting. We must remain united. We have much more in common with each other than we do with those who are instigating. As most of us know, there is a strong history of the organized infiltration and sabotage of progressive movements by the U.S. government. If the FBI can turn Elijah Mohammed against Malcolm X, anything could happen.

It is so importatnt that we don't play into the hands of those attempting to sabotage our unity and dilute our power. I am not trying to deny our differences or silence dissent. I am stating emphatically that

we must keep our eyes on the prize and not be distracted by attempts to create infighting.



THE PEOPLE UNITED WILL NEVER BE DEFEATED!
