The day after introducing an anti-war resolution, San Bernardino city council member Susan Lien Longville was threatened with death by a man with a rifle while jogging.

The price of challenging the rush to war may be a bullet through your head.

The San Bernardino Sun reported that a man with a rifle drove up alongside Susan Lien Longville while she was jogging.

"Before any of your Iraqi friends are killed, ... (expletive), I am going to kill you," said the gunman, a white man in his 50s before driving away, early on Tuesday morning.

The night before, Lien Longville, a member of the San Bernardino city council, had sponsored an anti-war resolution, which was tabled by the city council. A Town Hall meeting on war in Iraq has been called for Friday, February 7, at 5 p.m. in the central library.

San Bernardino police are investigating, and urge anyone with information to contact them at (909) 384-5615. The Inland Anti-Empire will continue to follow this story of anti-democratic intimidation.
