ANARCHIST-COMMUNISTS BREAK AWAY FROM MAINSTREAM PROTEST OF NEARLY 100,000 IN SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA

An anarchist-communist group from the San Francisco Bay Area was instrumental in facilitating a breakaway march from the IAC\/ANSWER-led demonstration in San Francisco on October 26th.

Over 3000 people deserted the IAC rally and the IAC speakers and the police-approved protest to take back the streets of SF.

The break-away protest overturned barricades, marched into on-coming traffic, broke into spontaneous sprints to outrun the police, and cut through parks and side streets to keep cops away and the demo alive.

A man who decided to drive his SUV into the group was left with a smashed-up car and 4 deflated tires.

The anarchist-communists, red and black flags waving high, created a much-needed counter to the liberalism and anti-organized anarchism in the Bay Area.
