Hundreds gathered at Green's rally on Thursday.\r\n2. Thousands (2000-3000) marched on downtown to Shrub's hotel.\r\n3. Police were intimidated by the numbers, ordered the crowd to disperse.\r\n4. Police began pepper-spraying the demonstrators, including a father and\r\nhis children (confirmed despite skeptics who are trying to dispel this story as\r\na &quot;myth&quot;--what would you expect when the police are guilty of malfeasance).\r\n5. Despite injuries from rubber bullets and pepper spray, as well as being\r\nrouted by fascists in riot gear, Portland residents were very happy with what\r\nwas accomplished (making their issues known and giving Bush a very public middle\r\nfinger) and celebrated in the streets on into the evening.\r\n6.
