Even within this, there is an increasing amount of individuals and collectives becoming more and more supportive of political prisoners and prisoners of war in this country and beyond. \r\n\r\nI recognize that the political prisoner support groups that exist for imprisoned activists and revolutionaries are only an arm in this overall movement towards liberation and freedom. To extend further, the political prisoner support community, as a whole, is also comprised of many arms. \r\n\r\nI work with the Anarchist Black Cross Federation, and our main objective is Class War and Anarchist Prisoners. We focus on a lot of revolutionaries from many non-Anarchist movements, and this is work that must be done. Despite criticisms, the work that we do is essential. \r\n\r\nThere are also support groups that will specifically deal with animal rights prisoners, earth liberation prisoners, communist prisoners, and anarchist prisoners alone.\r\n\r\nMy vision is to see coalitions being built amongst political prisoner support collectives, federations and organizations. Regardless if we state ourselves Anarchist or not, we should work with each other based on principles and accountability. \r\n\r\nI would hope that if any autonomous ABC groups (network, or otherwise) form up in the Los Angeles area, Orange County, or anywhere else in Southern California, that we develop a working relationship. I do not want to see a divide between my federation and other non-federated ABC groups, or political prisoner support projects. \r\n\r\nWith the increasing amount of repression in this country, we cannot afford to be apart from one another. The Anarchist movement is going to be colorful, and full of many different organizations and collectives. There is so much to be done. \r\n\r\nIf anyone is going to be interested in starting an ABC network locally, get in touch with us, so that we can develop a relationship. And if anyone is interested in becoming a member of the LA-ABCF, or a supporter, you can contact me directly. Either\/Or, I am excited about all of this. \r\n\r\n\"The road towards freedom, the path of liberation is marked by resistance at every crossroad: mental resistance, physical resistance, resistance directed to the concerted attempt to obstruct that path.\" -Angela Davis\r\n\r\nAustin Delgadillo\r\nThe Los Angeles Anarchist Black Cross Federation\r\n(www.abcf.net)","author":"Austin Delgadillo","parent_id":14746,"mime_type":"text\/plain","created":"2002-02-07 23:06:26","modified":"2002-02-07 23:57:20","fileurl":""}]}
