The Economist apologises for any

inconvenience.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~^^~~~^~~~~~~~
The Magazine is self discribed as:
\"The extreme centre is the paper's
historical position.\" That is as true today as when
Crowther said it in 1955. The Economist
considers itself the enemy of privilege,
pomposity and predictability. It has backed
conservatives such as Ronald Reagan and
Margaret Thatcher. It has supported the
Americans in Vietnam. But it has also endorsed
Harold Wilson and Bill Clinton, and espoused a
variety of liberal causes: opposing capital
punishment from its earliest days, while
favouring penal reform and decolonisation, as
well as - more recently - gun control and gay
marriage. \"\n","contact":"quakerla@loop.com","link":"http:\/\/www.economist.com\/printedition\/displayStory.cfm?Story_ID=865704&CFID=1670614&CFTOKEN=6431da-e7c93d96-09ed-48ef-9e03-03b258e53a49","address":"..","phone":"..","parent_id":0,"mime_type":"text\/plain","summary":"Major UK magazine publishes a year of corrections about Bush","numcomment":0,"fileurl":"\/uploads\/","filesize":null,"article_url":"\/news\/2001\/12\/13628.php"},"attachments":[],"comments":[]}
