McWorld or Jihad?!? There must be another way.<\/i><\/p>\r\n\r\n
How can we fight against the unjust bombings and military interventions\r\nof the U.S. government and the intense repression and profiling of Arab and\r\nMuslim people?<\/i><\/p>\r\n\r\n
How can people around the world deal with reactionary forces and\r\nideologies in a way that does not end up strengthening global exploiters and\r\noppressors? <\/i><\/p>\r\n\r\n
How can people in the U.S. communicate to the people halfway across the\r\nplanet that there is a difference between the U.S. power structure and the\r\ngreat majority of the people in the U.S.-- who have no fundamental interest in\r\noppressing and ripping off the people of the world?<\/i><\/p>\r\n\r\n
How can we help give \"air to breathe\" to the kind of movements\r\nthat can really liberate people from the global oppressors--and create\r\nsocieties where poverty, unjust violence, ethnic hatred, and the oppression of\r\nwomen can be eliminated?<\/i><\/p>\r\n\r\n
Thinking about these problems--and the need for proletarian revolution in\r\nthe U.S. and around the world--RCP Chairman, Bob Avakian wrote:<\/p>\r\n\r\n
\"We must bring forward the vision of a movement against the war acts\r\nand repression of 'our own' U.S. government that is so powerful that it cannot\r\nbe hidden from the masses of people all over the world--including in the\r\ncountries and areas that are targets of U.S. imperialist aggression and are,\r\njustifiably, 'hotbeds' of hatred 'against America.' <\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n
\"Imagine, what it would (and will) mean to those millions and\r\nmillions of people when they see hundreds of thousands and ultimately millions\r\nof people in America itself<\/u>, taking on the aggression (and repression)\r\nof their own government and standing with the people of the world against all\r\nthat this government stands for and is doing and enforcing in the world.\r\nImagine the questions that will raise in those people's minds, the\r\n\"dialogue\" (even if indirect) it will give rise to, among people all\r\nover the world with people in the U.S. itself. <\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n
\"Imagine the inspiration it will provide and the potential\r\nrealignment it will contribute to--with ordinary people worldwide finding\r\ncommon cause against the oppressors and bullies of the world, first and above\r\nall the rulers of America--who, it will be more and more clear, do not speak\r\nand act in the interests, or in the name of large, and growing, numbers of\r\nAmerican people themselves....\"<\/b><\/p>\r\n\r\n
