I wanted an appropriate visual image to carry in the Century City demonstration condemning the greed displayed by the Energy and Oil Company friends of George Bush. The State of California has been plunged into a <br> <br> manufactured energy crisis... and guess who is rushing in to 'save us' by drilling for Oil in Alaska and building new Nuclear Power Plants? Many people in the demonstration stopped me to comment on how they felt the 'Greedy Pigs' image applied to other problems... and so it does. From the 60 Billion Dollar proposed Star Wars program (while Americans have no universal health insurance), to the Bio-Engineering of our Foods... Corporate Greed is the fundamental problem.<\/p>\n","contact":"vallen@art-for-a-change.com","link":"www.art-for-a-change.com","address":"","phone":"","parent_id":0,"mime_type":"image\/jpeg","summary":"A protest sign used at Bush's appearance at the Century Plaza Hotel, Los\r\nAngeles, May 29th.","numcomment":2,"fileurl":"\/uploads\/2001\/05\/bush1.jpg.jpg","filesize":"23.2 kibibytes","article_url":"\/news\/2001\/05\/7118.php","image":{"original":"\/uploads\/2001\/05\/bush1.jpg.jpg","small":"\/uploads\/2001\/05\/bush1.jpg.jpgthumb.jpg"}},"attachments":[],"comments":[{"id":7128,"heading":"Pig sign","article":"You sound like a real hoot.
