{"article":{"id":6743,"heading":"4th of July","author":"Elysian","created":"2001-05-14 09:50:55","modified":"2001-05-14 11:00:01","last_modified":"Mon, 14 May 2001 18:00:01","article":"<p>I was considering some ideas for a 4th of July Statement that would be reflective of the true feelings of awakened and aware patriots.  <br><br> I woke this morning with this vision:  <br>  <br> Thousands upon thousands of people on foot- lined up at the Mexican and Canadian borders- all requesting political asylum from a repressive, totalitarian regime that has taken over their country.  <br>  <br> All Americans.  <br>  <br> If the cops show up for this one with rubber bullets and mace- it will only serve as an exclamation point to the whole exercise.  <br><br> Seeing as I am pretty much a voice in the wilderness, living in an area where there the number of those with an average IQ of 60 is only outweighed by the number of Bush\/Cheney bumperstickers, I cannot organize this here.  <br>  <br> This needs to be National.
