\r\n\r\nOn the Monday before the election I told a friend that both sides were\r\npreparing legal challenges to the election (\"little known fact\", I had\r\nsaid, having studied some of the more whacked-out Web sites that RRE\r\nreaders had pointed me to) and that the whole thing would be hung up\r\nfor weeks in a messy court fight. I wish I had written that prediction\r\ndown. So as not to make the same mistake again, I now predict that the\r\nwhole thing will be pretty much over by Monday evening, at which point\r\nwe can start with the recriminations. <\/p>
