Threads, as in fabric. The fabric of people's lives, \"the ties that bind\" \r\n -- to the land, to home, to family you may never see again, thousands of miles \r\n away...and to a lifetime of work.<\/p>\r\n
Thread, as in to thread your way north through death-filled rivers and \r\n life-stealing deserts. A painful line that can stretch from Mexico or \r\n Guatemala or El Salvador into the heartland of an imperial power.<\/p>\r\n
Threads that weave the fabric of exploitation in the garment industry of \r\n Los Angeles.<\/p>\r\n <\/b>
