Eric Mann spends hundreds of words denouncing capitalism, white people and the US government, then he turns around and argues for passage of their number one legislative goal of the year -- China PNTR. \r\n\r\nWhat's wrong with conditioning trade on environmental, human rights and labor standards? And what's wrong with the people democratically deciding what those conditions should be. Isn't that what Seattle was all about? Isn't that what we're trying to do with Burma? Why is it OK to have sweatshops and political repression in China, but not in Burma or El Salvador? Sure China had a revolution once -- lot's of countries have, but so what?\r\n\r\nI also don't get why the author is posting this now -- five months after the China bill won in the House.
