This would immediately contribute to the restabilization of the planet earth's climate, and be beneficial to citizens dying from smog related illnesses in the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area.  Certainly the \"earth in the balance\" democrats would be cooperative, themselves being interested in continuing to be alive.  I think that this could be an exciting, fun community project. Guess what, it didn't work.  Despite the efforts to accomodate the cops, such as agreeing to shut down the show when things became rowdy after the \"Human Needs not Corporate Greed\" march, the cops still went ballistic.  In this particular case, the cops tear gassed, pepper sprayed, and shot rubber bullets at peaceful demonstrators, event organizers, journalist, and, even, children.
