Even if all those 300 people chose to ride bicycles forever instead of drive cars, there will be virtually no effect on the general air quality and environmental pollution problems. It is instead a personal choice. If I believe that riding a bicycle is better for myself, both for my health and the health of everyone else, even if it makes a difference only to me, it's worth doing. Everyone who is protesting at the DNC is doing so for themselves, because it feels good to express what you believe to be true. Just as Mike felt obligated to respond to the photo above, even though nobody is going to give his childish ideas much credit. The revolution happens inside you.","author":"Atrek","parent_id":1777,"mime_type":"text\/plain","created":"2000-08-17 23:13:28","modified":"2000-08-17 23:26:34","fileurl":""},{"id":3602,"heading":"Courage","article":"I was one of the 71. We perhaps were naive. We thought that we were in a country where people had the right to assembly, free speech, and due process.
