Why Chavez Won BIG! A Comparison Between the Presidential Elections in the U.S. and Venezu (tags)

U.S. workers and those who are unemployed are frequently told that the current presidential elections are among the most important in this country’s history. With continuing high unemployment and underemployment, declining wages, and looming massive cuts to social programs that help workers, such as Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security, we are at a grave point regarding the direction of this country. However, the policies of both presidential candidates and their parties have perpetuated the devastating effects of the Great Recession for workers. Wall Street, the banks, the corporations, and the wealthy have been the beneficiaries of these policies while the only thing workers have received has been more sacrifices.

Neo-Catholics and Neo-Cons: An Unholy Alliance (Satire) (tags)

Betty Clermont’s book is called: “The Neo-Catholics: Implementing Christian Nationalism in America.” She insists that some of the Right Wing Boy-ohs at the Vatican embraced the Neo-Con ideology for the Church. In the U.S., they used the “Family Values” gimmick to sell Reagan/Dubya to the faithful. Meanwhile, they pushed for a Capitalism-Gone-Wild, Daddy-Knows-Best system. A Vatican agent in the U.S. wants to see Clermont’s opus banned!

Question official version of Army bioweapons researcher Bruce Ivin's suicide (tags)

Questions arise following the death of U.S. Army scientist Bruce Ivins as a so-called suicide, when the hidden goings on at Fort Detrick bioweapons laboratories may "justify" the need for a scapegoat to blame the post 9/11 antrax attacks on without casting any suspicion on the Bush/Cheney regime who used the public panic following 9/11 and anthrax attacks to launch their Patriot Act and illegal invasion of Iraq..

ANCIENT NEGRO CUSTOMS DISPUTE DARWIN (tags)

Ancient Negro, I mean to say the aboriginal inhabitants of the pyramid shaped, at least from a side view, continent, often labled as the dark continent by barbarians lost in the darkness of the jungles, share ancient spiritual customs, rarely explained in a rational way, with ancient Chinese and modern society, that dispute Darwin's EVOLUTION OF A SPECIES. For example, the disc used to extend the lower lip. Much more. Oh much much more.

THE LEFT AND THE ISRAEL LOBBY – by Joseph Anderson, Dissident Voice (tags)

Now that Stephen Walt and John Mearsheimer have broken the taboo in the mainstream American media establishment of not only pointing out that the Israel lobby exists, but actually analyzing it from their perspective, the only place that open discussion, analysis and debate about the lobby remain firmly taboo is, ironically, ON THE LEFT! It’s a taboo imposed on the left by certain leftist icons and their suppression – if not censorship – of free expression and debate on this topic in progressive venues (lectures, panels, press or broadcast). Even some Palestinian-Americans have been forced to knuckle under to these leftist icons’ denial of the power of the Israel lobby in exchange for those icons’ or certain progressive/leftist groups’ political support. For example, as of this writing, where is an informed rebuttal to Noam Chomsky's dismissive position on the Lobby or at least an honest, open debate about the lobby on the national radio program Democracy Now? So, I wanted to incisively debunk at least some of the major arguments used by certain Left icons in denying the power and influence of the Israel lobby in U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East and in suppressing discussion of its power domestically. Now, some people will bring up a red herring list of other possible influences in U.S. Mideast foreign policy to deny my analysis, but here I am dealing with THE ISRAEL LOBBY and how leftist icons respond to that topic. My ultimate position is: whatever our positions on the lobby, do we get to honestly discuss and debate it in formal public settings? Please read more:

BEN FRANKLIN ON THE CHICKEN HAWKS AND THE PELOPONNESIAN WAR. (tags)

Benjamin Franklin compared the pause in the Peloponnesian Wars, before their flight-forward plunge into the Sicilian invasion (by Alcibiades), with the situation in London at the end of the "French and Indian Wars" of 1756-1763: "Athens had her orators. They did her sometimes a great deal of good, at other times a great deal of harm; the latter particularly when they prevailed in advising the Sicilian war, under the burthen and losses of which war that flourishing state sunk, and never again recovered itself. ...”
