The EPCC NEWS gathered from news sources in Los Angeles that continued reshuffles had affected the Filipino American Community of Los Angeles (FACLA) management and the current board of directors. This stems from the latest news that FACLA has replaced Irbe Jamolod as FACLA manager. The EPCC NEWS as of the press time has not identified the replacement manager.

According to letters procured by the EPCC NEWS, latest to resign as members of the FACLA board were Mandy Francisco, newly designated interim FACLA president and Andrea De Guzman. FACLA directors Nene Jensen and Dick Digal resigned earlier after some differences with FACLA president Meng Gatus in 2009.

The fratricidal intramurals in the Filipino American Community of Los Angeles (FACLA) turned for the worst when the FACLA board of directors last January 7 meeting suspends its president and three of its board of directors. EPCC NEWS learned today that FACLA newly elected president Gregorio “Meng “ Gatus, first vice president Paul Julian, Rita Dinsay and Linda Nery were suspended in the latest board of directors meeting presided by acting president Mandy Francisco. EPCC NEWS learned through unnamed sources that the motion was initiated by Alfonso “ Al” Aquino, a newly appointed FACLA director.
