Four Day Weekend Comedy Opens Second Theater in Dallas, Texas

by Four Day Weekend Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017 at 11:03 PM

Opening night set for Saturday, February 3, 2018

Critically-acclaimed Four Day Weekend Comedy, the premier improvisation group who has been performing their award-winning show in their own 212-seat theater in the heart of downtown Fort Worth for 20 years, has announced their plan to open a second location off Lower Greenville in Dallas, Texas in 2018.

The new 150-seat Four Day Weekend Dallas Theater will be a throwback to the golden age of entertainment, where Copacabana meets old Las Vegas Rat Pack. The newly remodeled theater will be cabaret-style seating for 110 downstairs and 40 in the intimate upstairs balcony. The Dallas show will feature some of Four Day Weekend’s signature improvisation scenes, songs, and sketches that audience members have come to love. Audiences can also expect to see a combination of both Four Day’s veteran cast along with some amazing new talent.

“So many of our audience members make the drive from Dallas to Fort Worth each weekend, we decided it made more sense for us to bring the comedy to them,” said Four Day Weekend co-founder David Wilk. “We love the city and the people of Fort Worth, and we’re excited to build those kinds of relationships in Dallas.”

The Dallas theater’s opening night will take place at 9:00pm on Saturday, February 3, 2018. Regular show times will be Fridays and Saturdays at 9:00pm. Tickets are each (including tax and ticket fees). The new theater is located just off historic Lower Greenville at 5106 Sears Street, Dallas, TX 75206 and is conveniently located across the street from the Truck Yard and next door to Trader Joe’s. For more information and to purchase tickets, please call 817.226.4329.

Four Day Weekend is a 20-year-old Fort Worth institution and the longest-running show in the southwest, with more than 550,000 people having seen the troupe perform in their beautiful 212-seat theater in the heart of Sundance Square. In addition to their four weekly public shows, Four Day Weekend has launched their own four-level improvisation training center; taken on corporate gigs for organizations such as Frito-Lay, Canon, Pfizer and Office Depot; branched out into film and television projects; and their new book “Happy Accidents: The Transformative Power of Yes, And in Business and in Life” was released by Wiley and Sons on September 5, 2017 and became a National Best Seller. This critically-acclaimed troupe has headlined an Armed Forces Entertainment Tour with shows in Kosovo, Germany, England, Belgium and The Netherlands, performed for two U.S. presidents and delivered a Keynote to the United States Congress. Recently, they have been named a Small Business of the Year in Fort Worth, have received the Key to the City of Fort Worth and are Entrepreneur’s in Residence at TCU’s prestigious Neely School of Business.
