NEW ARTICLE about the Shortwave Report in the Boulder Weekly by Gavin Dahl-

http://npaper-wehaa.com/boulder-weekly/2015/03/26/#?article=2478097

This week's show features stories from Radio Deutsche-Welle, NHK Japan, Radio Havana Cuba, and Sputnik Radio.

From GERMANY- France held a One Planet Summit to develop ways to finance clean energy projects- the message of the summit was that fossil fuels are history, and that public and private moneys are needed to accomplish the goals of the Paris Agreement. Israeli PM Netanyahu went to Brussels saying that EU members would accept Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel- he was thoroughly rejected by EU foreign ministers. Israeli flags were burned in Germany which has strict laws against anti-semitism.

From JAPAN- At an emergency meeting in Turkey, 50 muslim nation leaders condemned Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as the Israeli capital and asked the UN to annul any such declarations. Greenhouse gas emissions in Japan decreased for the third straight year, primarily as a result of more renewable energy on line. At the start of the week, South Korea, the US, and Japan began another naval military exercise to step up pressure against North Korea.

From CUBA- In Honduras protests against election irregularities continue, and the military police continue to arrest, injure, and kill those in the streets. 50,000 people filled the streets in Brussels to show support of former Catalan President Puigdemont and the regional independence from Spain. The New York Times reported that Donald Trump spends 8 hours a day watching television, primarily cable news channels.

From RUSSIA- On his show called Going Underground, Afshin Rattansi talked with journalist Vanessa Beeley about the UK government financing of terrorism. A well regarded BBC news program called Panorama recently aired an episode called "Jihadis You Pay For," exposing what Vanessa and alternative media have been reporting that western governments support terror groups in Syria and beyond.

I was interviewed for an informative weekly radio show Mediageek, available at http://www.mediageek.net/sound/2006/mg100606-64k.mp3

All that plus times and frequencies for listening at home. It's free to rebroadcast, please notify me if you're airing it and haven't notified me in the last month, please mention the website if you only air a portion. If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application (RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer.

TIME SLOT on KZYX! This program will be aired on Sunday afternoon at 4pm (PST) on KZYX/Z Philo CA, you might be able to stream via http://www.kzyx.org >

I hope you'll listen and air this if you're connected with a radio station. I am still wondering how to get financially compensated for the 25 hours I put into this program weekly- any ideas are appreciated. Any stations rebroadcasting this (or listeners) are welcome to donate for production costs. You can do so through the website. Many thanks to those that have donated! No Guilt! (maybe a little)

¡FurthuR! Dan Roberts

"I know what America is. America is a thing you can move very easily, move it in the right direction. They won't get in our way. They asked me before the election if I'd honor the Oslo accords. I said I would, but I'm going to interpret the accords in such a way that would allow me to put an end to this galloping forward to the '67 borders."

- Benjamin Netanyahu, speech at the Knesset, 2010
