Kind Traveler has launched “Double Your Impact” benefiting Animal Defenders International (ADI)

In celebration of Giving Tuesday, the global day of giving back, Kind Traveler has launched “Double Your Impact” benefiting Animal Defenders International (ADI) and the animals it tirelessly works to save. When travelers book through KindTraveler.com between November 29 and January 2, participating hotels will match donations made to ADI and fellow charity partners.

Jan Creamer, President of Animal Defenders International, said: “Kind Traveler’s “Double Your Impact” initiative is a lifeline for the animals, providing twice the support for Animal Defenders International projects around the world. Book through kindtraver.com today and help animals in need.”

Kind Traveler is the first ‘Give and Get’ hotel booking platform that empowers travelers to benefit communities, the environment, and animals. A $10-dollar nightly donation to ADI will unlock special hotel offers to book directly with hotels.

For bookings made during the “Double Your Impact” campaign, travelers can do twice the amount of good for the animals, and benefit from exclusive rates for some of the world’s best hotels. Participating hotels include Virgin Hotels Chicago, Hotels G San Francisco, The Benjamin in New York City, Two Bunch Palms in Greater Palm Springs and Lumiere Hotel in Telluride who will match donations, up to a maximum of $500-$2500 or until the campaign ends. 100% of the donations raised will be given to ADI and fellow charity partners.

Kind Traveler CEO & Co-Founder Jessica Blotter said: “We are thrilled to team up with Animal Defenders International in reinventing travel and educating travelers on the importance of respecting and being kind to all animals. Using Kind Traveler, holidaymakers have the opportunity to vote with their travel dollars to make a positive difference to local and global communities by supporting businesses focused on social and environmental impact. Follow ADI’s tips on KindTraveler.com and learn how you can travel kindly and become a force for good this holiday season.”

Visitors to KindTraveler.com can learn about ADI’s life-saving work, including their latest rescue mission in South America. During an 18-month operation in Peru, ADI raided illegal circuses and rescued every animal, working with the authorities to enforce a ban on wild animal acts. Known as Operation Spirit of Freedom, support on wildlife trafficking enforcement was also provided. Over 100 animals were saved and nursed back to health during the mission, with native species relocated to forever homes in Peru, over 30 lions airlifted to sanctuary in Africa and a tiger to Florida.

ADI top tips for being a kind traveler include avoiding attractions which feature performing animals; wildlife souvenirs; elephant rides; and having photos taken with captive wild animals. The best way to see wildlife is in the wild.

Kind Traveler’s goals are purposefully aligned with the United Nation’s Global Goals for sustainable development: preventing poverty and hunger, protecting the planet, and promoting wellbeing for individuals and animals. Kind Traveler aims to tackle these global issues through their network of global charities including Animal Defenders International.
