High school government teachers believe
that the voting privilege can only be
preserved by showing up and serving on
a jury when needed.
If you want to serve on a jury in December
then make sure that you VOTE in November!!
A long time ago I asked my High School government teacher
to consider the possibility of changing to an
all volunteer jury system
He refused. He insisted that all registered voters
have an obligation to show up and serve on a jury
if they are summoned in order to deserve to preserve
their voting Privilege.
When you vote you sign for a ballot and then the
jury summons department knows that you are an active
voter and your name will become available to be drawn
for a juror summons.
.
If you would rather not serve on a jury then consider:
- Are any of the candidates worth serving on a jury for?
- Would skipping this election really be all that bad?
Is voting in this election
worth being summoned to jury duty?
