CBS, Ford, Las Vegas, Kawasaki, Randy Houser, Country Radio Sponsor Rodeo Brutality

It's time for CBS, Ford, Kawasaki, Randy Houser, Clear Channel, the city of Las Vegas etc. to end their profiteering from blood sports causing deaths and injurieds to human beings and animals.

Southwest Airlines, Starbucks, Trader Joe's and Choice Hotels have ended rodeo sponsorship because of corporate conscience and the organized financial power of hundreds of millions of animal protectors around the world. It's time for CBS, Ford, Kawasaki, Randy Houser, Clear Channel, the city of Las Vegas etc. to end their
profiteering from blood sports causing deaths and injurieds to human beings and animals.

CBS, Ford, Las Vegas, Kawasaki, Randy Houser, Clear Channel and other country radio station networks are all sponsoring rodeo brutality. However Southwest Airlines, Starbucks, Trader Joe's and Choice Hotels are some of the many corporations which have ended their rodeo advertising. *11 Please let corporate rodeo sponsors know people vote with their green to boycott red blood 'sports'.We do not know as of this writing if Pepsi has ended its sponsorship. It was involved in 2014. *18

One of many rodeo deaths is at the link below. *1

Rodeo is a blood 'sport' in which cowboys and rodeo 'clowns' have their necks, arms, and legs broken. They are modern gladiators. Rodeo 'clowns' who attempt to deflect bulls from those they toss off are also injured. Profiteers and the crowd continue the spectacle of witnessing animals abused as humans try to dominate them. Flank straps are tied tightly around bulls' legs to encourage them to buck.

The Oklahoma prison rodeo has been shut down. *13 Big tobacco money may withdraw *2 The California Rodeo Salinas has been taken to court. *3 An illegal Mexican style rodeo has been shut down in Los Angeles. *6 There have been calls to shut down New Jersey's Cowtown Rodeo which used an illegal HotShot device, resulting in a horse's dropping dead. *9 Pepsi has dropped a Tennessee Walking Horse competition after a network expose of animal cruelty. *10 A horse was killed at the Cheyenne Rodeo. *14

From allcreatures dot org comes this description of illegal tailing:

"Tailing or Steer-tailing has been outlawed in many cities in California because of the cruelty involved. It consists of a horseman riding beside a running steer. The rider reaches down and grasps the tail of the steer, looping it around his leg and spur. He then veers off, quickly jerking the animal off of its feet sending it rolling to the ground. Points are awarded for falls that cause the steer to hit the ground on his back with all four legs pointed skyward simultaneously. Not surprisingly, this can cause extremely painful injuries and even broken legs for both steer and horse. Frequently, the tail of the steer can be broken or torn off.

Because these animals are destined for slaughter, very few of them receive any medical care prior to, during, or after their event. Dehydration often occurs after being held in the hot sun for hours and injuries are very common. Vet care is required if there are injuries, under California state law. But there was no vet present or even on call this day. There were also no permits filed for provisional use from the city or for Health and Safety required of public sporting events."

From the Chicago Tribune:

Steve Hindi, president of the Chicago Animal Rights Coalition, last month gave the board videos detailing alleged abuses by Lake County-based Big Hat Rodeo Co., which has staged steer-wrestling, calf-roping and bucking bulls *8

CBS Sports is part of Leslie Moonves' CBS. Its president is David Berson.

Bill Ford is a vegetarian. Why is he allowing Ford's name to be associated with this people and animal brutalizing activity?

The tourist bureau of Las Vegas, center of gambling, prostitution, and crime, is also involved.

Randy Houser and other country music singers attempt to glorify the transient lifestyle of rodeo cowboys.

Clear Channel and other country music stations play the rodeo propaganda songs.

Clear Channel has tried to change its negative image (as did Blackwater Security) through a name change to IHeart.

Choctaw Casino Resorts of Texas is another rodeo sponsor which likes to separate gamblers from their money.

As of this writing we do not know if Macy's has ended it sponsorship of rodeo brutality. *20
