This week's show features stories from Radio Deutsche-Welle, NHK World Radio Japan, Radio Havana Cuba, and Sputnik Radio.

From GERMANY- At the UN climate Conference in Peru a format was adopted for reducing greenhouse gases, in preparation for a final deal in Paris next December. John Kerry outlined the US support for Israel at several meetings early this week- on Wednesday the UN rebuked Israeli settlement construction in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, and the EU court ordered Hamas removed from its terrorist state listing. Turkish police raided major media outlets, detaining 24. French and German leaders urged Ukraine's Poroshenko to take aid from the World Bank and IMF. US President Obama signed a bill tightening sanctions against Russia as the rouble continues to lose value.

From JAPAN- Russian President Putin says the economic crisis could last for two years. The first hydrogen fueling facilities for fuel cell vehicles opened in Tokyo Thursday. Officials on the island of Hokkaido are mad that a nuclear power plant has been applying for restart. Hong Kong police have cleared the last of the Occupy protest sites, but confrontations are expected to continue. The former Iranian gunman who held people hostage in Sydney Australia had protested troop deployments abroad.

From CUBA- Dick Cheney has refused to call the CIA interrogation techniques torture, saying he would do it again in a minute. A human rights group in Berlin has filed a criminal complaint against the architects of US torture with war crimes. Widespread demonstrations continue in Mexico in protest of the disappearance of 43 students. The 13th series of talks on US policy toward cuba concluded on Wednesday. Then President Raoul Castro announced that the remaining 3 of the Cuban 5 had been released from US prisons- he spoke at the same time Obama described normalization of diplomatic relations with Cuba. Much speculation ensued, but by this programs deadline, there were not many concrete changes implemented. The administrator of US Agency for International Development also resigned on Wednesday morning.

I was interviewed for an informative weekly radio show Mediageek, available at http://radio.mediageek.net

All that plus times and frequencies for listening at home. It's free to rebroadcast, please notify me if you're airing it and haven't notified me in the last month, please mention the website if you only air a portion. If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application (RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer.

TIME SLOT on KZYX! This program will be aired on Sunday afternoon at 4pm (PST) on KZYX/Z Philo CA, you might be able to stream via http://www.kzyx.org >

I hope you'll listen and air this if you're connected with a radio station. I am still wondering how to get financially compensated for the 25 hours I put into this program weekly- any ideas are appreciated. Any stations rebroadcasting this (or listeners) are welcome to donate for production costs. You can do so through the website. Many thanks to those that have donated! No Guilt! (maybe a little)
