In reality each pharma pill taken to alleviate a condition can cause exacerbating symptoms that cause lifelong dependency on these products. Thus the health care industry in the U.S. and other western nations are better termed the "sick-care" industry because they rely on long term illnesses with no cure. Overprescribed mental health meds are often used to continue making people into patients while other causative factors such as malnutrition, food allergies and peer/adult abuses are ignored completely. There is no profit to be made from a change in diet or surrounding people, yet putting someone on pharma pills from youth makes a lifelong customer for pharma corps.

Though some inherited diseases may require pharma pills for treatment, the majority of the pharmaceutical corporation's profit margin in the west is from diseases of lifestyle. The three contributing factors are lack of exercise, refined carbs/sugars/grains (or even whole wheat), and grain fed meat consumption (factory farmed). Since it is psychologically difficult to alter the standard American diet (SAD), the illnesses will continue and the pharmaceutical corporations will be there to make a profit, from the cradle to the grave.

Those who try alternative treatments (IV Vitamin C, medical cannabis bud/oil, etc...) and healthy diets (Vegan, keto, etc...) are often outcast in many communities and/or imprisoned in psych wards or jail. The terms "health nut" or "food snob" are often used to degrade individuals who have shown concern by limiting what foods/drinks they are willing to ingest. The theory behind these psychological attacks is that being healthy is "just too difficult" and eventually the healthy eater will give up and "join the crowd" by returning to a diet of junk carbs/sugars and factory farmed meats. Then it is only a matter of time before one of the diet related illnesses begin to show symptoms and you can bet that the pharma pills will be quick to follow.
